top quality tilers for New York hotel

I'd love to do this, I'm afraid to say even if I was good enough to be accepted, I couldn't spend that long away from my family [emoji24]I'm a big baby when it come to home sickness!

It's the 'experience'!
It must be fantastic to see the Manhattan skyline from a bathroom window.
Taste a real Big Mac.
I'am looking forward to more details when Paul gets back from Qatar.

Don't get me wrong TJ, I know it's for the experience, I would love to go & be part of a great project like this.
I wouldn't get into the country any way as I was a naughty boy when I was younger.

US Tilers earn a hell of a lot more than £22m2.

They vary from $10 to $25 a sq/ft ($110 to $275 m2) depending on what's being fixed, plus materials. Plus they have to be fully certified.

Tourist visa? You've got be kidding, this has deportation written all over it.

If I can get over £25m2 2 mins away from my door, why would you go over the other side of the world , to a city which has a very high murder rate to earn less [emoji33]

I traveled to the States a couple of years ago on my own, did I get the third degree at customs and was asked what I did for a living, told him and thought I was going to be getting the next flight home.

Did explain I was meeting up with an old mate who is an American citizen.

Tend to agree with ATS though.

They do not make £90-£200 psm. More like the same we make here, and in many cases considerably less. I know this because I have worked there for Fired Earth on several occasions. Tilers are considered semi skilled as well, usually done by cheap labour Hispanics. Well they are on the West coast anyway.
I do agree with the visa problem though. You only need an ESTA (or a B2 tourist visa which is a long winded process)now but of course that does not allow you to work, so when they examine your luggage and find hand tools in there you are on the next plane back.

On 'homewyze' calculator for labour rates in USA it averages $100-150 per sq metre for fixing ceramic tiles in a bathroom.
