top quality tilers for New York hotel

I disagree with john nybor, couldn't think of anything worse than working away 'just for experience'
And not for the money, that's what, IMO is what working away from home is all about .
If I'm working away ,wether single or not, I'd want paying more than I can get next door to me.
May as well work here for more money, save up and sod off to New York for 4 weeks and enjoy mesen [emoji106]

I used to subcontract ceramics for 5.5 to 7 dollars a square ft, cash talking. Marble, granite, travertine etc. 10 dollars a square ft, once again cash talking. So in US you get a hell of alot more money but you gotta be highly skiled in the tiling trade and to have the right tools to get the job done. All custom jobs, done the old fashion, mud-set wall and floor, just like back in the days. Lived in US for 15 years.

I worked in St. Kitts doing a house up. I was paid for the job, as I can remember not much more than £1000, accommodation, travel and food included. I lived in the house I was doing up.
I spent all day at the beach bar supping beer watching the pretty girls and pelicans diving for fish. (the pelicans not the girls)
In the evening I did a couple hours work because there was nothing else to do on the island.
Job should have taken me 3/4 days.

I WAS THERE 2 WEEKS ALL EXPENSES PAID:hurray:

So even based on that, £22m2 is still mugging people off.

Combined with a possible visa situation.

Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
But if everything is there ready, 60x60's with a bit of mosaic in the shower floor, get into the rhythm you could be doing 20sq. a day plus, more if you put in the hours. Day after day for 2 months, so £500 a day, that's some decent dosh.
I worked on T5 Heathrow with guys that were on £12-£15 psm and they were pulling in £3K a week, not easy, but that's what you're there for

There's a difference between commercial and residential jobs, cannot deliver a top notch job on 20UKPounds per 2M, out of the question. While I was a kid used to subcontract commercial jobs for 2 to 3.5 bucks per square ft. cash talking, tell you what, you barely keep a monkey alive on that kind of money let alone making a profit. I would never in a million years touch that again, been there done that. You guys here in UK talk cheques and bank transfers where you have to pay 20% to the tax man...

No it's still in the offering !
I'd suggest those interested contact Paul again and express your availability.
From what I understand he has just returned from the USA after looking into the job/ accommodation etc. and will have more information for those wishing to earn £1300+ per week.
