Topps not selling Bal products

Went into Topps tiles today and the guy said that there is a rumour that they wont be selling bal products soon, only Topps own and palace products...anybody else heard this? The guy said they are having really problems with palace rapid set at the moment, lots of tilers and Joe public moaning that its setting too fast...ten minutes then its gone hard, any of you guys use this gear.

hmm strange that, i was near topps the other day and popped in for some palace so fill out a few holes in a kitchen wall, when i asked for a bag of palace the guy said sorry we dont sell palace :huh2: so i thought oh i must be getting mixed up with tile town, tho im sure they both sell it

Did this come from a Topps employee or another fixer who was in at the time?

As most of you know, I have only just started with BAL, and have not heard anything like this at our end.

I think it's about time some fixers wised up to topps........fortune is a word that springs to mind........

CTD will beat any price that topps quote hands down.....🙂......on products ctd sell as well..

Topps own gear is Palace re branded. I used to buy the Palace gear from Topps but then they stopped stocking it as it was rebranded as their own. Have used a fair bit of Palace in my time and never had any problems with it. I have used the Topps two part which is Palace used to buy it at £18.50 all in now I get the Topps stuff £22.00 and comes in its own nice bucket. Have laid loads of floors with this and never had any come back.

Never heard about Topps dropping ball they have however dropped their Bal prices on gear and are quiet cheap compared to some of the local suppliers so will be interesting when CTD come to Inverness see if we can get nice prices what you think Grumpy

First started i was buying tons of gear from Topps but now i wouldn't go near the place. The prices are just a joke, it cannot be justified. Bag of nat stone rap set is something like £55!! (retail)

Should have some truth in it, Enduro. As you can see from the tiler forums main page Bal comes to several CTD shops to show the products, but no Topps shop is mentioned.

I think that might be down to Topps head office, rather than BAL, TBH.
