Topps tiles are just the pits

Well what a frustrating annoying week dealing with guys from topps tiles that sell tiles at extortionate prices that are just not up to scratch I pity the general public that purchase tiles and feel bitterly disappointed

An example £44 psqm

Last year my customer came back from Topps Portsmouth with 6 boxes of floor tiles. Upon checking the batch numbers I found 4 different batch numbers. The tiles were black and the differences were very obvious. I rang Topps and they said that this has happened because their policy states a customer can return unused boxes. Therefore, my 6 boxes were made up of customer returns. No apology. Customer took the boxes back and chose a different tile.

Recently done a floor and my customer had got a price from their local topps for 30odd metres of 600x300 porc, I took the sample saying I might be able to get it at a better trade price, my local topps quoted me AT TRADE £9 a metre more than my customer was quoted...made me look a right tit, i will never darken they're door again

get it through the door ..and hope it doesnt come back equals profit ..thats their policy ..dont know how they keep goin as the biggest overheads etc ...extorsion

I was offered a whopping 5% discount !!
Obviously I took them up on this kind offer and retired a rich man...

TTA Award Winners 2017 for Excellence in Multiple Retailing. Their stated strategy is to ‘out-specialise the specialists’

Any fault with those tiles must be an optical illusion :tongueout:

Embarrassingly transparent aren't they?
Admittedly they are the biggest, but they most certainly are not the best.
Do they contribute much to tta coffers I wonder?!
