Topps Tiles Trade Account

Is it worthwhile having a trade account with Topps to get some % discount?
I don't deal with buying tiles and don't have a Topps Tiles within 30 miles of me anyway,so never had an account.
But I have a valued,repeat customer who has chosen their floor tiles from Topps, but at a horrendous £65m2 for 600x300 porcelain floor tiles.
So before I even enquire about an account I was wanting to put some feelers out on here to see if it is worthwhile approaching them.

U generally get better discounts on tiles than tools and addy from my experience!
I don't know about now, but u used to have to spend 2grand to get an account unless they know u.
Could be completely different now of course.
I'll call my branch later see if I can get a price for u Wrighty!

Last time I enquired about a Topps trade account I was told I would get a wopping 5% this would increase the more I used them, so I told them where to stick there account. ..

Topps aren't interested in traders, they just like to mug the unsuspecting public with their ridiculous prices. Terrible company.

Their discount on tiles isn't that great, their prices on adhesive and grout / trims / boards changes dramatically once Trade account activated. I had to show 5 receipts I think....but I'm a fairly persuasive guy. x
