Topps Tiles Trade

Hi all
What is my best way of going about getting a trade card for Topps Tiles, I use them a lot as it is just up the road from me and all ways find them so helpful .
Regards

cheaper than anywhere really. £9 for a bag of topfix flex and a fiver for a tub of green star aint that bad. Also give my customers i send there upto 22% off tiles dependent on what they choose.

what i dont like about topps is there trade discount depends on how much you use the store, where as i can go to most other tile shops and get a full discount stright away so why would you use topps in the first place as it cost you more money to start with just to build up to a trade discount (which imo isnt very good anyway) as far as i can see topps dont want trade customers and prefer to charge high prices to the public to make there money..

Not a store i have tried to work with, bought a couple things when no where else to go but prices are hiked so high to start with that the discount they give us still no where near what the price should be IMO.

But as with other stores and independents, you use who treats you and your customers the best.

We only used Topps to buy Quarrys to finish a site off & they put us on full discount straight away.

The manager we dealt with was really good as we did have issues with the other store he had left, They told us we would only get a bigger discount the more we spent.

Would never buy adhesive from them as the mark up is huge. Its good for joe public to see those prices though.

You use wot is available locally.

I don't have a lot of choice my area, no CTD
I generally have no major probs with Topps. I do hate the way they have to charge for the fixer service, and sell the poor punter everything they possibly can..........even down to spacers & sponge, but they do it because they get commission to boost a crap wage.

I dont have anything local, Tile Giant 15miles, CTD, Cosmo, Topps & the rest all up in Glasgow 30/40 miles away.

Still wont get me buying adhesive from Topps. :yikes:

Im in Morecambe - the only thing i have is TOPPS. Yet to use them. Where do most of you get your adhesive and grout? If the price is better than TOPPS, which it sounds like it will be, i might use them and get it delivered perhaps?

Wage is bad. 3% commission and its taxed. most stores dont take much. gotta work really hard to get sales. customers always asking for discount so to get good deals. customers making bug orders generally have plumbers/tilers trade card. trade sales make up 60 70%.
Topps make double bubble as they sell the tiles from warehouse to their stores. Tile knowledge is great in the store im at.
trade prices for toppfix is good in my eyes. Palace adhesives make the stuff and I havent had any bad reports yet.

Can't say i use Topps, i find their adhesive prices embarrasing, luckily i have Craven Dunnill just up the road for Bal and Dunlop, Tiletrend are also good, but i buy Mapei in bulk from Lilley Tile and Stone and it gets delivered to my door, brilliant prices.
Green Star! 100% discount is still no reason to buy it, i can't believe Bal still make it, awful stuff.
