Clean with lithofin wexa....

Wexa - 1L
A multi-purpose refurbishment cleaner for the removal of wax films, grease oil, ingrained dirt, floor polish, etc for tiles, natural and artificial stone.

and re-seal with stainstop again.....

MN Stainstop - 1L
A spirit based, Silicon impregnator that penetrates into the surface of stone and forms an invisible film within the pores and capillaries.

Prevents staining from water, dirt and oil, allowing the stone to breathe, and aids maintenance. For use on all polished and unpolished natural and artificial stone.

These products can be bought from CTD.........

lithofin wexa (light removal) or wax off.....removes most stuff inc. sealers, then two coats stain stop, as you know!

p.s wax off is messy.....

great stuff thanks. its a 28 msq floor so how long ? half day. how long to wait until you can seal the floor.

depends on what you need to do.....if its wax off......it'll take all day just to strip....its like snot when its removable.....wexa is quick......

= wax off = 2 days strip and reseal
=wexa = 1 day strip and reseal..
hope this helps...

Also plenty clean water to make sure all traces of the cleaner are removed and leave to dry well first......

i agree its not nice......but i would rather remove and reseal than regrout anyday!!!!!!!!!!

the key thing to find out is what sealer went on in first place.
some sealers are not compatible with each other and I had some very costly mistakes when started cleaning floors.
if not sure stainstop w or similar water based impregnator best.
Stravertine must be dry before put impregnator sealer on.
Dont try to put on any water based surafce seal coz might streak on surface that highly honed and not that absorbent.
stone will take on its own sheen if you buff after putting on stainstop or similar and after being treated regularily with a recommended maintainer for travertine.

when cleaning any soap based cleaner like wexa will do job fine provided floor has not got a heavy duty varnish like surface seal.Do not use anything acid based or will etch surface.
28 mts sq floor only take half day to clean inc scrubbing joints with hand brush if you use scrub machine. wet vacuum pick up essentiaslto pull dirt out pores.
