Travertine floor tiles! Help please!

anyone used Travertine Wall & Floor Tiles from £9.97 | Travertine Store or willing to get a sample to look at the quality for me? I am looking at honed and filled noce.

guess your commenting on the price rather than experience? The tiles i had been looking at were ivory (£24.99m2) and noche (£16.99m2).

I am also waiting for tile samples from tile giant super dark (£36m2)and super light (£30m2) anyone used them and able to comment?

Prices above are per pallet order..(approx 40+mtrs) and then you have a pallet delivery rate... not so cheap then is it..?... always try if you can to get at least a full tile as a sample.. but that still does indicate what you will get within a pallet quality wise.

all the trav ive used apart from 1 floor has been crap. i find the honed filled polished stuff, soft and really brittle,and they have paid between £20 and £40m2.
the best trav ive used is the tumbled and unfilled,seem a lot stronger,and looks the dogs as well.

I'm no expert on natural stone, but I know I've fitted a lot of poor quality stone from local tile stores which charge £30 - £40psm but I've also fitted stone bought from Internet for half the price and far better quality. Lots of people fear buying stone as the quality varies from shop to shop!

They send you a sample 100x100mm and expect you to buy from that!
The cost of the bathroom could be from 3-15k and you'll make your choice from a stamp that has been taken from a tile produced 3 years ago and from a part of the quarry that was long exhausted.
You can't go wrong at £15-00 because it will be poor quality, but poor quality at £40-00 is avoidable by using a recommended supplier.
Unless you physically go and check the stock, save your money.

On a more positive note - I often think that some fillers in cheaper Travertine enhance what can often be a bland background, and as long as the material is well fixed, can produce the 'wow' factor.

Lol thanks Dave, spoke to them today and was impressed, prices weren't that much more than tile giant. Not sure if he does any discount for members on here.

I think I might drive up to the showroom and have a look. As I am not 100% sure on what colour I want.

Hello all sorry for digging up a old thread. Just wanted to say I went to perfect home and garden and must say they are very helpful and knowledgeable and didn't try to hard sell . I spent a couple of hours and learnt quite a lot.
