I use a Karlton electric door trimmer, don't even need to remove doors, did two last week, brand new oak doors, had to take 3mm off each, took me 5 Min's from start to finish. Not sure if you can still get the Karlton, but if you go onto the Carpet fitters forum im sure someone can point you in the right direction. I know a guy and thats all he does is go round for local carpet fitters trimming doors with one of these. Cost around £200 but at £15 per door i charge to trim you will soon get your money back.
