o.k lads, when doing floor to ceiling walls and also the floor, would you do the floor or the walls first, and why?
I generally do the walls first , mainly so i dont have the need to trample over a new floor to get to the walls. just wondered if others do it differently

if the grout lines are to marry up,I normally do the floor first so that I have a grid plan for my wall tiles to follow, this also lets you hide the perimeter expansion joint with the wall tiles

I am normally a walls first man too, though as Doug says, if you need to carry through the grout joints, then floor first!

I will do walls first, unless bonding up from the floor or setting out for a full wall tile up from the floor.

If you set the walls out OK then just put them up and leave the bottom cut off - this way you can drop the floor in with a decent perimeter movement joint, Silicon seal this movement joint and cover it neatly with your bottom course of wall tiling. This method particularly lends itself to wetrooms, although they would already be tanked so no need for the Silicon movement joint.

Same as merlecollins. Walls first, leaving out bottom cut, then floor, then fill in bottom cut of wall.

Depends on the job to be honest, tile size / grout joint continuation between wall and floor, continuation of work, i.e: if all you have is the wall and floors there's no point doing the floor to watch the addy drying before you can do the walls, rather do the walls first and then jump 'straight' onto the floor, this again is only a rough idea, sometimes the job can't be done this way, example... Barratts homes site, we have to do the floors first so that the plumbers can get in to fit the bath, and the joiner can fit the vanity etc then we can do the walls, so it really is down to the job in hand and what suits best.

That is the way. Walls without bottom cut, then floor and floor tile cut you hide by wall bottom piece

Yip that's generally the way I work, with a couple of exceptions, its the easiest and most efficient way in my opinion
