you cant lay them and achieve the standard in your other posts

your client needs to decide wether she wants a rustic look to the floor or return them

Have thought about this already, will have a word with customer, bloomin gutted, was a good earner, 10 sq m walls and 1.5 sq m floor, mosaic pattern panel on 1 wall : £450 plus materials - :yikes::thumbsup:
Also she has waited 3 weeks for tiles to come from factory in Italy, she will not be happy, thank god she bought them herself with my discount, otherwise i might have been well out of pocket and having a nasty wrangle with tile shop

The other thing with this quality Nick is that it is not that difficult to break the tiles as you put them up.

Getting 100% contact is a challenge to say the least. They are likely to take twice as long to fix for these reasons.

I found this with some B&Q 13 x 10 tiles recently. One had to be replaced because a crack developed along the horizontal where it bowed. This only came to light before grouting - I had washed all the tiles down to prepare for this stage, and the water ingress showed this up.

My advice would be to ask her to return the tiles for good ones. It will much your schedule up but will save you a lot of grief.

Don't worry mate, it would not be worth my reputation or my bank balance to fix them ! I knew this before I posted thread !

I had tiles like that last month. 600/300 porcelain floor tiles. When i pushed my steel rule down on one end, there was a gap of at least 4mm at the other end, 1 or 2 were worse. After showing this to the lady, she wanted them anyway. Laid them brick bond, with a bit of compromise at the corners, they really didnt look too bad.

If there are downlighters I would turning them on while tiling rather than leave till the end:yikes:
unfortunately for me, the ones where i was working weren't wired up till I finished

Update
After many phone calls, complaints and visits to tile shop by myself, customer decided that she still wanted the tiles. Set in line with each other. She was aware that there might be a problem . She wanted me to do the job.
Reluctantly I agreed, started yesterday.
To my amazement they actually look ok. Have had to trowel wall as usual, but also trowel the middle section to ensure coverage.
The pictures show a few of the tiles ungrouted and also a 30cm wide section where she is having her mosaics. Have had to pack out with adhesive following profile of tiles, as the mosaics would have been flush at each end of tile increasing to a 2mm or so lip in the middle section of each tile.
Spreaded wall with rapid set and made a notched piece of wood, set to the required depth, and scraped down the section until smooth. Will be able to fix mosaics tomorrow.
Customer is well happy !!!
