waterproofing licence

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Jay when I was working for a builder in Hobart, the guy that did the waterproofing told me the product he used was a UK one because it was of a better quality !!

yes jay i always try and get customers to take the wp /tanking however i dont think a licence would really work in the uk,just my personal opinion but it is a good idea mate

not so sure, to much regulation and the government have you just where they want you ,I'm a bit of a free spirit/anarkist

i like that free spirit line  but if anything goon, i think you should be one of the moderators that licence people due to the line of work you do . swimming pools, water proofing, go hand in hand..

i think a licence would be a good thing but it depends on who governs it..anything that gives the tiling trade more 'specialist recognition' has a big yes from me....

thats what drew me to the post mate, we already have BS standards that cover water retaining structures, and you can already say that you work to these standards if you do, you know we'll all be waring Dicky's with photo ID and getting out 30 licenses
to say we can do the job soon and another 30 to cover H&S ,as you can tell i don't like to conform, alike individuals, characters:thumbsup:

I'm surprised the insurance companys have'nt cottoned on to this, it would save them a fortune

yo gooner

here is another free spirit..now he's cool and an individual and judging by this clip i am pretty damn sure he is talking about waterproofing  just for you, me and all the free spirits on here...dave will love this mate:thumbsup:

'be water my friend'...
