Richard - I was 100% sure that my quote would be taken out of context - and it was!
The recent post of the 'legal secretary' and her clasped hands will not inspire the purchase of unseen tools. IMHO.
Its demonstrations for me.

If you are going with the demo format you do have the backing music option along with text info that people if interested can pause and read. It would be much more dynamic. I still don't see the all important (pack shot.) The brand.

Last one.. I think the pack should be in the video on the right with the figure to the left and larger. To me she looks too far away; that would reduce all that black and I think the ad would have more impact visually as a result. Nearly there IMO.

For the benefit of doubt let me explain the black background. When she appears on the website its seemless with a white backround.

The only reason shes here on YouTube format is because forums cant support the sort of file needed. To get the real picture you have to go to the website 365drills.com to see her in the actual proper format. Only by seeing the website video will you see the way it was supposed to be shown.

An alternative playing system here shows her with the right background

I like it. I think the fact she needs clicking to start is a must. I too hate revisiting websites that auto-start their video's and I hate more the ones that you can't shut them up once they've started. I read a lot and I go to websites and expect to read. I go visit youtube if I want to watch a video about something and already know you have video's on there.

I think the look on the main site is a good one, so she's not in a video box that you can see and she does look like an image until clicked. I think that's how I'd do it if I needed such a thing as it's not too in your face.

I think her holding the tool is a must, and I would have like to have seen a demo of the product at the end or something but that's okay, I get what it is after reading the website whilst listening to her. - which is sort of a bonus. You'd be stopping people from scrolling if you were actually watching something and waiting for it to finish where when she's just talking you can continue to look around the website and you know the three second rule! - you've got 3 seconds to server your hit the content they want else the chances are they click the red X and go elsewhere. So I think the way you've done it caters for that too.

Over all, I like it and don't normally so you've put some thought into it R. Well done.

And I'd say NOT to use the promo girls on this one. Definitely a more corporate look wins over this time.

Thanks Dan. (And all the others) who are taking the time to add comments.

Ive had to make some changes to the version that loads into IE (Internet Expolorer) otherwise the website crashes. It loads OK in other browsers.

One thing you DONT want as a company is for your site to crash!

Hell no!

Didn't test it in all browsers, only Google Chrome so never spotted that. You want to make sure it's running well in all browsers and all browser versions. IE is a pain in the arse. IE 6,7 and 8 all act differently on some websites so make sure you're checking in all versions too R.

We're having some issues with out server struggling to cope with the traffic so we have a new Dell on order. :D

It's imperative that our forums load instantly. We can loose up to 35% of the traffic if it lags for 10 seconds at peak time just a couple of times. And they don't come back until the next day which is no good for conversation flow.

IE is still the most used browser so I'm guessing your lost traffic could be a higher percentage than even 35 which is very high so make sure it is fully tested in all versions of all browsers.

Consider, Opera, Apple Safari, Firefox, Chrome (checked and working fine), and then EI 6, 7 and 8 as there will be computers around with all versions of IE on them still unfortunately. (I wish people would keep their software up to date but it's apparent most don't.)

A nice concise advertisement for a set of drill bits, well put forward and gave all the info needed. However as some people have mentioned not enough demonstration to bowl you over. Its the product that sells when watching a screen, and in particular the presentation of a product, its usefulness, durability and then price, in a way that grabs attention from the offset.

A more testosterone type advertisement would keep my attention more tbh.
