Been to look at a job which includes 2 wet floors. When i asked what formers he using he said i'm not, just want you to form the slope using tiles, i have never heard of doing it this way, so could do with some advice on it. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

This method is asking for trouble the deflection is going to cause problems in your wet area............

.

cut the backer board and screw fix and bond them to the 18mm ply with solid bed of Keraquick incorporating latex plus to form the "fall.
Tank with Mapegum WPS OR Mapelastic. Tile with Keraquick and latex plus. Grout joints with Ultracolor Plus and fill internal vertical corners and junctions of walls and floor with Mapesil AC colour to match grout.
Leave it for a fortnight before leaping in!!

Keraquick can only be used to 6mm bed...you need more than a 6mm fall to get sufficent drainage in a wetroom..IMHO dock..

Building up tiles to form falls is very outdated and not a fail safe method...

I recommend the use of a preformed former...better to be safe than sorry..
