Does that tile have a thick glaze on it?. If so the score is not going through the glaze to reach the biscuit. Hence why they just break anywhere they want to.

See now a tiler should know that and score from both sides.. if no good then give up and wet cut...

Would putting wd 40 or something on the wheel help the scribe in that situation Dave ? I ask cause notice I get nice cleaner cuts when I've oiled the sigma

how comes I ONLY I GET 1 VOTE?...... hehehehheheheheeee....

I use rubi and sigma.....although sigma is a new addition......its miles better for what I want that perticular machine to do than the rubi equivilent........but the TS60+ is the mut's nuts for day to day tiling IMO.....

I use Rubi (ts60+), Sigma (3em), Raymondi (zoe), dewalt (dw2400)...and I also use a plasplugs master tiler......so I cant really vote on just one......i think they are all great.....

for a specific material on a specific job.......

it is horses for courses IMO.........

Can i also say .. i find the number of votes compared to tilers on here very poor.... it costs nothing to vote you know..

okay for small format tiles I have a really old rubi ts 30......its on its last legs......and I love it dearly.... great for splashies.........
and for anything up to 600 x 600 set traditionally then I whack out the TS60+.........
for larger format I used to use my TX700-or is it 900.....i cant remember I have used it so little..........and I honestly think its pants.........hence my purchase of a sigma 3EM (Gary the tiler said it was the best out there!)
and trusting his judgement I now own one...........and after souping it up a bit and adding the speed stripes.........it is miles ahead of the equivalent rubi......

IMO

I have to admit that I have no experience with the small format sigmas......except for a few minutes with Andy Carroll's one...

I am sure they do the job well........but for me its just a case of I am used to what i am Used to and I can achieve a faster result with it......so why change?

cue RayTT.......Or Gary........they will tell you I am SLOW LEE.................hehehhehheheee
