What brand of Tile cutter do you use Poll 2013.

Served my time on Sigmas and always used them. Tried another tilers Rubi cutters before, so at least know what I'm not missing.

Have got Sigma 7a, 5a, 4a and 3ek, Vitrex QEP750 and Rubi DW250

I find this poll amazing.
I just don't get why people are so fiercely stubborn and defensive about their cutters and who manufactured it, or for that matter new innovations in general without trying them out.

It looks like Sigmas are coming into their own, so why not just try them, who cares who made it. If it's better than a Rubi buy one. If you don't like it then don't.

At the end of the day it's only a tool, it's not a football team or a relative, you can swap to a better one!!!

Who knows maybe it might make your days at work easier!

the Nuovo's are brutal machines....I quite like the click clack scribe wheel.......I am sure they could cut a tile a mile thick!!!!.......

Right there Lee, heavy buggers as well. Not found a tile I can't cut with it although it is starting to wander a bit, may need some attention.

Completely agree, I have power tools from all different manufacturers. Over the years I have selected the ones that do the job best individually and stuck with them. If a tool makes your job/life easier I'm all for that.

I've been using my Sigma 3DM for a while now and it is better than my previous Rubi TS-50L-Plus. Shame there isn't a case for it, though. But for small ceramics I still use my little old Plasplugs cutter. So much easier to carry around, accurate enough and you can use it on a worktop too.
