Hi Taz

welcome to the forum - a very friendly one it is - and by using the search option you will find answers to all those questions that your PTS course threw up.
Mind you no one seems to mind answering the same question over and over - there always seems to be a different angle to explore.
I did the 4 week PTS course in Warrington.
Have fun - take some reading material along - a few Beanos should do it!

Who me?
Surely he will be going to the Essex place?

I would have had a 'Beano Fan Club' - tee shirt (in the Beano font) made up if I had had the time.

Thanks for the reply's, Sorry Frogeye but said I was 'New' to site - didn't say I was 'Green'. I spoke to Beano at warrington a few weeks ago.

Forgot to include that I also did 11yrs with Cheshire Police

Nice try though !!!

Ah well - it's a fair cop!

Enjoy your course though - fairly steady for the first 2 weeks - constantly called 'upstairs' for lectures etc - but the 3rd and 4th weeks - blimey what a learning curve - steep or what? Still good though.

A tip - write down any pearls of wisdom given - as the notes are pretty crap (unless they have improved them) and quite sparse - in fact I think a few were missing in our handouts.

I take it you are doing the 4 weeks in one go - best option

Worked in a warehouse for a few months after leaving school, but started the tiling as an apprentice when I was 16. Was out of my time when I was 19 and I'm 21 now. Used to be a paper boy in my younger days!

Thanks Frogeye. Going on what I have read on here I hope I get Beano as my Tutor. A lot of people on here appear to have a lot of respect for his abilities.

I am slightly wary as to the level of instruction I will receive. After all it's a lot of money to shell out. Your note on the lack of course notes is a bit worrying.

By the way, going on what I have read on here so far regarding prices to charge for tiling, I am correct in estimating between £20 & £25 psm excluding materials ?

Currently a business analyst looking to get into tiling, have done sales and debt collection prior to this.

Built a Conservatory business.....sold it.......built a flooring company ( mainly wood )......sold it.......built a fitted kitchen company......sold it......failed at new business venture.....tyres.......bankrupt.....sh*t year with no money......starting as a tiler......who knows where it will lead..........god, my life in four sentances lol

Jim....... I may be down but they can't keep me there!
