a big blob of board finish plaster in the eye and from a height of 8 feet..
1986, and my dads mate was a git for turning over the plaster on his hawk and a load fell off and i looked up and it hit me in the eye..

i washed as much as i could out but it partially set and i spent 3 hours in st pauls eye hospital getting this solution continually poured into my eye to break it up along with a needle trying to scrape out set plaster...it burnt my eye ball and i looked like merel collins avatar for 10 tens days....only upside was, my mum bought me a pair of rayban wayfarer sunglasses as a present to cover up the eye...i thought i was nick kamen when i was 17 lol (the fella from the levi 501 laundrette advert)

I sprained my wrist applying very stiff tubbed adhesive on a big job and ended up having to take a month of work , you can imagine the comments i got about how i got the injury... :smilewinkgrin: :lol:

loads of minors for me , but 2 very big ones , first one was an hydraulic oil injection injury to my right hand ( pick up a surgical glove and blow it up with your mouth and you will have some idea ) , very lucky to keep my hand :yikes: , and then the monster one , 60 foot up on a gantry and i get my right knee trapped between a 5 ton steel roller and a steel table , an hour to get me down and into hospital , no blood flow to my foot , bloodflow restored 1 hour before irreversible tissue damage would have caused amputation , i now walk with a limp and drive buses , i wonder how long before the next big one , as the saying goes , they come in 3's :yikes:
