have got the hardi backer rep calling in mon/tue next week will quiz him for answers on structural

I spoke to the nomoreply guy recently and quizzed him over their 6mm board before I used it on a kitchen floor. I asked how can it be as strong as 18mm ply and he said by itself it's not, but when used with their glue and screws it is.

you are best using the normal plasterboard adhesive doesn't stick as well to the moisture resistant board The green one lol why do you guys like using ply the only thing i find it good for is structural uses if its on walls i try to overboard it :pete
probably 'cos my old master did Pete,and as an awestruck youngster his word was gospel! I still think he was the best and tidiest tradesman I've had the pleasure to work with.But times change and I'm slowly dragging myself (and hopefully a few others!) into the 19th century.(lol)

They have SAID that before but as yet they have provided no documentation backing up the statement!
