What van do you drive?

Hi All

I am looking for a van and was thinking of getting a Citroen berlingo or Vauxhall combi type/size, would this be a good choice with regard to insurence MPG etc. To get over the problem of it being to small to carry plaster boards i was going to get it with a full roof rack and strap all plaster to this.

Is this sensible? is anyone doing this at the moment? or should i plump for a bigger van, maybe the size of a Fiat doblo or Ford transit connect.

Also, does anyone recomend getting a van on lease hire or contract hire, does this go well when the end of year tax returns need to be done?

any advice would be welcome

Cheers

I got a Transit Connect with a side loading door.

It came from BT so it has the roof racks too, which come in very handy. It has full BT service history and has low mileage, as most of the ex BT fleet do.

The van is bang on for what I need it for, and I got a tow bar fitted for those extra things I might need to carry (customers tiles, adhesives for big jobs etc...)

You can go to the BT website and get the latest ex fleet stcok info and prices they are going for.

Thanks APM

Just been on BT's site [DLMURL="http://www.btfleet.com/sales/cars_commercial_vehicles.html"]BT Fleet[/DLMURL]
and registered.

I'm not afraid to die, I just don't want to be there when it happens.
🙂 🙂 🙂
