got a transit connect which has been great, cheap to run and pretty reliable. finding it a wee bit small, i am selling it next week as i go t a great deal on a vw transporter. if you are needing to carry large sheets then the connect is no good however if yo uare just carting tiling gear around i would recommend them. the vw holds it price better than any van i know

You getting new or used transporter?I'm after one but a new one might be a bit beyond my budget.

I have a 61 Plate Peugeot Expert, it's a fantastic van, I get over 600 miles on a tank, I'm very pleased with it so far.
I guess the only downside is the fact its so noisy in the cab, I fitted a steel bulkhead but you need the radio up fairly loud to hear it, also the speakers must be fairly pants....

used one mate, buying it from a pal that got it from new and was only used to move picture frames, full service history from a vw garage and most of the miles are motorway miles. they are getting a vito made for them as we speak. i could not afford a new one as they are well over priced, think the van might be a bit bigger than i need but the deal i am getting on it is good and my wee transit is a bit too small so it makes sense to take the deal while its going,

ive got a mercedes vito which has been excellent. the guy who does all the work is an ex mercedes mechanic so he sorts everthing...my next van will be a vw transporter.

Nissan Kubistar, neat little van, normally get stuff delivered by suppliers apart from addy and grouts etc. No point in carrying a ton of tiles and tools to a job when diesel costs as much as it does.

i must agree the new shape trannys do look very nice but i dont think u can compare to a transporter but thats just my opinion i guess

i think builders/tilers are a bit fashionable with vans ! they all like to be in the same click IMO, and i have noticed lots of our younger friends all jazzing about in souped -up vw transporters with alloy wheels.......same with tools ,work cloths, lol

Got a Nissan Navara Aventura with a hardtop on the back. There's plenty of space for tools etc and it takes a ton of weight no problem. The best thing about it is that it serves as a decent works vehicle during the week but also as a family vehicle during weekends without me having to clear it out - best of both worlds

New vw caddy bluemotion, lovely van just to small. There was logic in the purchase 90% of my work is small format geometrics, but when I'm on the the 10% that isn't that van is hopeless !

I've got an '07' plate Ford Transit SWB, medium roof and its awesome. There's plenty of room in the back and also in the cab, it drives so well and is good on fuel. It pulls a decent weight and there's plent of signwriting space on sides and back due to the medium roof!
can't fault the good old transit and i wouldn't considder anything else.

i drive a 2008 vw transporter. for work and for everyday live. i love it. its my dream car and perfect for my work and my family. (one more kid and i need a multivan)
the reason why i spend so much money for a car was the citroen jumpy before. it was only good for 170 000km and then i get nothing for it. so if the machine of the vw break down, its worth to invest money.

Depends whats available, Hiace which I dislike as turning circle is a joke or Transit which I love, bloomin thing does 0-60 faster than my family car

I've got an 04 swb vivaro. I bought it about 4-5 years ago with 90k and needing a service. Now it has 140k and still needs a service! Only problem I have had was the alternator went but it was so easy fitting the new one!
I'm looking to get a newer one but im worried I will get one and have a ton of problems with it and wish ide of kept old faithful!
