Hi folks,

I am looking for advice on which wet cutter I should get for cutting 14mm trav/slate/marble?

I have recently completed a C&G tiling course and have most tools I need but am stalling on buying the wet cutter until I am sure I can get one that will do the job well. Budget at the moment may not stretch to a rail cutter?

Advice appreciated.

Budget dependant there are loads to choose from,I have 4 or 5 to choose from ranging from norton clipper,de Walt also have a Brutus whic was around £500 from topps tiles it flies through stone
in saying that I also have a wee plas plugs for doing splash backs that eats stone and porcelain for breakfast
hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips, the nd 200 is about my budget at the moment. I take it that the 180 just isn't up to prolonged use on stone? If I was to go for the 200 what is best in terms of a blade, I am presuming that the one that will come with the cutter won't be the best for the job?

I have the nd 200 and to be fair the blade that comes with it is fine for stone or porcelain........when it wares out ATS do fantastic replacement. .

Alot of the cheap bridge saws are rubbish unless you want to spend 700 to 1000 pounds......I would stick with a table saw ....and they can cut any size tile.
