white or ivory Silicon?

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

we have just tiled our bathroom and have used ivory grout, should we use ivory Silicon or white? our suite is white and we are using the Silicon down the corner joint in the walk in shower and thats where i feel it would stand out the most if we used white. we have used bal micro ban grout but they only do cream or champagne in the coloured silicones, ant tips would be greatly appreciated, tanks.

genesis do an ivory Silicon,i generally try and colour match grout and Silicon but as marke says champagne may be more subtle:thumbsup:

bal says it may be too much of a contrast to the ivory as it is a yellowy colour,is there another make in ivory thats just as good as bal?

i did a small job a few weeks ago with bal ivory grout and genesis ivory Silicon with crema tiles it turned out nice,no issues with colours at all mate:thumbsup:

MAPEI  Jasmine probably

dont know about the colour to use but i am using Mapei Buildfix Silicon in my kitchen and it is looking damn good as a match to the grout colour 🙂

I would keep as close to the grout as possible on this one. If you use white it will make the grout look dirty methinks.

If your tiling was multi coloured you would have had more liberty.

deffo use cream or champagne on the corners, but from experience i wouldnt use the coloured silicon against a white bath or part of the suite. i had feedback from customers saying that the cream silicon looks dirty against a white bath, suite. i use both cream and white accordingly on the same job now. will see if i have some pics to compare.
