its been a difficult start of the year for me im just wondering who else is struggling the moment?

i know bad aint ive tried everything to get work rung round a few contacts nothing leaflet drops tommorow i think

i was meant to have 5 weeks work booked in with a kitchen/bathroom company but havent heard out yet so im not panicking but im getting really bored doing nothing defintley worst month ive had since starting up ive gone from being busy last year to naff all one job only this year not a good sign

i had a good year last year, but so far this year, just done a full bathroom! got a kitchen to do soon, and hopefully i'v got 4 full new build house's but not definate. so all in all i've worked 4 days in january!
I've sent letters to local plumbers and kitchen showrooms and builders, but nothing yet.
it's just a case of keeping at it, letting people know who you are, and a bit of legwork!
hang in there ! it'l pick up soon, when people have paid for christmas

Doing ok

on with one job 20 m2 porc hallway into cloak and utility then 48m2 porc walls and floor in main bathroom incluing fitting fundo tray and wedi bathbox,4m2 of splashback all one client.

got 2 bathrooms for developer and 2 private in march all full installs

2 disabled access bathrooms in april on grant aid carried over by the council to next financial year

and a few bits and bobs

all the jobs are referals or passed on from builders/developers i have done alot of work with

it will be tough this year but if we keep pluging and dont devalue the trade we should be ok

who knows they may all cancell next week !

Hillhead Tiling busy thankfully,
took another full house today and a bathroom,finishing 3 houses,4 to start plus bits and pieces.
It's a funny old game,have loads or nothing !!

i've had quite a strange start to the year:huh2:,one minute i'm twiddling my thumbs annoying people in my local tile shop looking for work then i book in the next week only to find myself with nowhere:huh2: to go the next week,starting to pick up now though.long may it continue!:hurray:

i was crazy busy last year,,very slow start only done 2 days work all january until today i started 2 decent bathrooms and 2 more small jobs comin in for end of next week,done a few quotes but not been getting them so far

Its been a quiet start to the year for me too, but at least i'v got my own kitchen floor, and down stairs loo done. Mind you, i have picked up 3 little jobs this weekend, so lets hope theres more to come. For all of us. unk:

same here slow only 2 jobs in jan no one is spending money doom and gloom every were you look it can only get better my mates a plumber and this is normaly his busy period and he has no work on so its all trades having the same problem roll on feb it cant get any worse good luck! :builder2:

Terrible Nov / Dec (started to go backwards!)
Worryingly slow start to Jan but now it's picked up thankfully.
Booked now for 4 weeks and quoting for more.

I'm only comfortable though when I get 8 weeks ahead as a minimum.

Steady for me, just got four bathrooms in the one house all day work. The women who owns it only wants the bathrooms tiled and some plumbing done because it is rented out at the moment for £1500 a week, she will be ripping them out in about a years time when she moves back into the house

Steady away really, although i have had to postpone two bathrooms becuase the customers still havent ordered the suites with weeks to go, cleared the room in the diary and put their jobs back a bit, i think there skint and waiting till next month but dont want to tell me.
