Wonky walls or bad tiling?

We are currently in the process of having our bathroom refitted. We’ve been on holiday whilst he has been here but he has been able to contact us the entire time we’ve been away.

He acknowledged that the tiles on the mirror wall are uneven but said that is due to the uneven walls behind. As first time homeowners we aren’t sure if this tiling is acceptable? Would really appreciate some advice from the experts!

That is absolutely horrendous. How anybody can think it's acceptable to leave it like that is beyond me. I do not actually know how it's even possible to tile that badly. If the walls were horrendous, you should have been advised that they needed sorting out, but I can't understand how they can have been bad enough to end up with tiles fitted like that. I wouldn't pay them a single penny and would demand they rip out and replace it all properly, or give you the money to replace the tiles they have most likely ruined. Sorry you've had this experience. Just a quick question, was this a supposedly reputable tiler or a cheap local handyman?

That's shocking i don't understand how he can tile so badly he's no tiler
