My two employees are already begging/pleading/requesting that I work the job schedule around certain key games this summer.

I will of course work it out so they can watch the games they want to see. I'll even give them time off for hangover recovery. They are good guys and worth making accommodations for them every four years.

What are you fellows going to do?

Ed, I'm sure I'll watch that one-England/USA. If we lose I'll stay away from the forum for a while. LOL

And the boys will get me to watch Spain playing in any game because one of my employees is a rabid fan.

I'll have to watch at least one game with Germany and see how my cousins do :D .

I don't watch soccer (sorry I can't get used to saying football :) ) that much, but I do occasionally and enjoy it when I do.

I played soccer while I was young (goalie), but then baseball won out and eventually football.

As with all sports played at a high level, I am amazed at the athleticism displayed on the field during the World Cup.

No wonder the American economy is in such a state allowing time off to watch Soccer!
Next you'll be giving them a day off for the 4th July and when they really have you under their thumb they'll be asking for time off over Xmas - after all it only comes round once a year!

John

There are 535* reasons that I can think of that explain why our economy is so knackered, and watching soccer isn't one of them.

(PS .....Kudos for any one of my British friends that can tell me where I got that number* from :) )
