Thanks for taking the time to look at this post. I've used this forum many times in the past, but never posted. Hopefully this is in the right place!

The reason for this first post... Complete disappointment at how badly my parents bathroom fitout has been finished.

I'm absolutely gutted for my parents as this is the first time they've ever spent any amount of money like this to have a job properly done and I don't think they'll ever do it again.

The job was meant to take 2 weeks and it's now been 4 weeks and it's still not finished. Apparently they've said they'll put right anything my parents are unhappy about, but I can't see how that's possible without ripping it all out and starting again - with someone that can actually tile.

Any advice as to what they should do would be greatly appreciated. Do you agree that this is a bad job? Do you think it would be unreasonable for them to withhold payment or ask for it to be ripped out. I'd be reluctant to use the same people again.

No point being all flowery and fair about it. It's absolutely 100% terrible. If you've not paid the morons then don't. If i was asked to fix that up, the only way I'd entertain the idea is a complete rip out and re-fit.
It is honestly achingly, toe-curlingly, cringe-inducingly bad.
I'm sorry for your parents!

This is a Halloween horror show, inclusive of in-situ spiders web, spot to shower head @#17.
I do feel for the customer, having tradesmen in ?doing work is stressful enough, without having to deel with such poor workmanship to boot. Hope you can get resolution to your satisfaction, without too much additional hassle.

This is a shocker! I’d be worried about standing under that skeiling. To leave a job as bad as that I’d be seriously concerned about the preparation to the surfaces. I feel sorry for you and your parents. That outfit need to be named and shamed and sued imo.

That's pretty bad. What would bug me is it is all so messy. Did they use a brick to finish the Silicon off? And at least clean the windows so there's not dirty grout fingermarks everywhere.
If I left something like that I wouldn't expect to be paid, but then I don't think anyone decent would leave a job like that anyway.
Feel sorry for your folks

Appalling finish.... For what looks like a fairly straight forward install for a "Professional" Tiler... Unfortunately this happens a lot.. Most definitely within your parents rights to get this rectified.... Hope it goes well..
