Ne ver advertised? Now that is impressive.......
You must be a handsome man:8: !
But good luck to anyone starting out. THe one thing I would say is there will be times when you feel really really like you have made the wrong choice , and you feel the icy terror of looking into a poverty stricken future! but it passes, and the phone rings again. WE all get it. The same way you havea brief moment of desperation in a office job, the same can happen in our game. Just make sure dont take it to heart.
As an example....... started a big commercial job monday(as seen on previous post!) by wednesay morning i pulled the five guys i had in there out. Complete change of what was agreed on, ludicrous demands, 'expert ' advice from the foreman which was horse ****, halving the time frame for the job.So had to bite the bullet. You can imagine how much it cost me in wages.... did not get a penny for the job.. and worst of all....after dragging 50 bags of 20k bal rapid set down into basement and reverse the process and do so single handedly.:6:
so spent yesterday afternoon and today feeling sorry for myself, had a couple of sneaky beers, and now am planning next job for weekend..back on the horse!
moral of the story: nightmare week, but at least i could say:double ****: to my temporary 'boss'
(by the way, first job i ever walked from.Just had no choice. Had to cut my losses)
