Ok… not quite “… to be jolly” but it’s that time of year that many wholesalers run an annual Trade Day. Usually some games, a raffle and some discounts…. And maybe free breakfast.

CEF last week. (Hotdogs, if you’re wondering) Didn’t get much except for a new set of WERA drivers.
I tend to replace mine on a yearly basis… through loss or damage… but this set...

LED T8 lights Electrical Advice

LED T8 lights Discussion ThreadLED T8 lights Electrical Advice

Having done the numbers I modified my 5 x 4ft double batens in the workshop to take LED tubes T8 22W. After less than a couple of years, 50% have failed. They flash annoyingly just like the old tubes and then give up altogether. Has anyone else had the same experience. One theory is they don't dissipate heat fast enough?

Kewtech KEW-80L Thermal Printer garbage Discussion ThreadKewtech KEW-80L Thermal Printer garbage Electrical Advice

Hi

Anyone using the KEW-80L thermal printer? I've only hit the second roll it came with and now it's spooling 2 labels out and often missing the label itself and printing over two. I've reset it, check settings are right, left battery out overnight etc, nothing seems to work.
Ironically it's come at my busiest time.
For what they cost new these things are a rip off...

Shower pump wired off shower Electrical Advice

Shower pump wired off shower Discussion ThreadShower pump wired off shower Electrical Advice

Work for a company who sub contracts to the local council and looking for some advice.
In the domestic properties the council have wired a shower pump off the load side of the showers in 2.5mm (40A RCBO) which then serves a 13A switched fused spur to feed the shower pump. I am unsure this is ok as a shower is a fixed load and worried about overload on the 2.5mm?
