Kitchen extractor fan Electrical Advice

Kitchen extractor fan Discussion ThreadKitchen extractor fan Electrical Advice

Hi all,

I'm looking for recommendations for a kitchen extractor fan with a rate of 60l/s.

We're nearly done with our renovation, but we've just been informed that we need one (I know, a bit late in the day, and I’m not happy, but here we are). I’m considering installing one in the top kitchen cabinet that would extract out, but this would require cutting a hole in the kitchen furniture, and I’m unsure if...

Zs too high Electrical Advice

Zs too high Discussion ThreadZs too high Electrical Advice

I have a Ze reading of 0.35 on a TNCS system and I've had the DNO out to check and they say its ok.

From my main board I have 2x 10mm sub mains feeding another board and my Zs on the cables is ~0.45 ohms. Max allowed according to BS7671 is 0.35 ohms. What can I do in this instance as the high Zs is caused by the high Ze which the DNO has okayed.

Thanks for the input.

Charging 12v Battery with Solar Panel? Discussion ThreadCharging 12v Battery with Solar Panel? Electrical Advice

I use a small 12v 1.5w Solar Panel to charge my engine battery, quite often it's not powerful enough and the battery loses charge.

If I buy a bigger one say 30w, would that still trickle charge (albeit faster) it, or would it damage it?

TIA

How can they justify the increase in your electricity bill !? Electrical Advice

How can they justify the increase in your electricity bill !? Discussion ThreadHow can they justify the increase in your electricity bill !? Electrical Advice

Just had a email from E-on to say my yearly bill is going up £81 from £103 - £184.
Now this has got me wondering how they can justify this ---

Firstly it is for a spare feeder pillar in a field that uses 0 kWh per year , so the increase from 19p to 29p per kWh should not effect the end bill.
Added to that , even if It was...

I am really confused so can anyone just tell...
