Have I bought the wrong size trim?

Hi All My tiles are 9mm but I'm planning to use an 8mm square trowel so I think that means the adhesive will be 4mm thick. I bought some 10mm tile trim. Is that wrong and I should get at least 13mm or 14mm to allow for the adhesive?

Able to locate my old posts and threads etc. Anyway, reported this and had my user name activated again, not sure how, but now have zero history, that was there...

Ok - what options do we have?

It’s a small downstairs shower room so what are the options for this encaustic design. This is how I saw these tiles today, all laid out on the front room floor with 3 interlocking. Not had any contact with the client (it’s through a builder I’ve work with for a few years) but need to know the...

Does anyone have a favourite make of tile?

Recently been working on a job with Saloni porcelain tiles 900x450s and they are horrible to work with, extremely hard (imo).. granted the two dry cutters I've used have been a bit rubbish (vitrex 1200 and Macalister b&q job), this is my first job over 600mm so I wanted to avoid getting the...

Brick Slips - should have asked a tiler and not a brickie

Hi All I got some slips laid at the front of my house and I’m not happy with the job - some of the rows are a bit off, and when I challenged the brickie he said the slips are not cut straight and couldn’t be laid straight so I told him to stop the job. My assumption is despite brick slips being...

Sigma Jolly edge anyone have one?

I was just wondering if anyone has the sigma jolly edge, or used one? I brought one around a year ago. It worked very well for about 7 mitres on a 60/60 porcelain tile. All of a sudden it started to run off the mitre edge leaving it thick. I’ve read the set up instructions and have it set...

dewalt laser level dce089d1g, would love to see one in action in real life. Seeing more and more tilers starting to use them. Would love for someone who has one to let me know what they think or anyone who’s seen one in action. Main reason I’m interested is ‘apparently’ it can do floor laser...
