Hi, this is my first time using this forum or any forum for that matter, so please forgive me if I'm doing it wrong!
I have been tiling for roughly 12 years. About 3-4 years on job training with no college or course experiance. My family and I have decided that we would really like to emigrate...
Good Evening folks. I have an underfloor heating question which im hoping someone can shed some light on.

EDIT: I posted this in the DIY board but it does not appear to be very active. So I thought I would post again in here.
Afternoon, please go easy on me.
I have installed a wet room former into my en suite. However one thing has lead to another and I must have forgotten how to use my spirit...
Hi
We are just near the end of getting our bathroom refurbed by a local plumber. The tiler he used did a good job overall, but left the threshold with a 7mm rise on the left had side versus the right. Now when the plumber tries to fit the threshold z-bar to the carpet, on one side it is flush...
For those who may want to measure gradients and angles a little more precisely I can recommend this as a good starter company and piece of equipment.

Hi guys,
After some tips on laying relatively sizeable tiles (300x600 upto the plank like tiles 900x150) in half bond/brick bond formation but keeping it perfectly flat between mixes.
I do the usual checks that they are able to lay in this formation (hold back to back and check for gap).
I...
My brother who is a retired joiner, with a little tiling experience, and myself who doesn't have any, are intending to create a wet room type ( with screen) bathroom. I think I may end up with lots of questions, but the main one at the moment is, what is the best method of making up the...

Hey guys, being relatively new to tiling professionally and having taken on a job that was honestly a step too far too soon, I have been concentrating on floors and single walls and have built up my confidence again. I am gonna practice at home doing four walls in small wc. My question to you...
I am preparing to tile a bathroom wooden floor in an old cottage. I need to alter the height of some small areas before laying insulating cement boards. If I were to level the floor it would raise the door threshold more than I want. So I'm aiming for a flat floor, not a horizontally level...
This seems like a good place to get a reliable answer.
I have a worktop which is 7 foot long and 2 feet in depth. Used to have shelving one end and a small compartment the other and which held my PC. I've taken the shelving out and attached one end to my plasterboard wall. When I say I, I...

Staying at my wife's cousins house in the UK this weekend and they've just had a load of work done, one job being a bathroom. They asked me to have a look at the bath panel because nobody has been able to get it to fit, they even got The Bath Store to send a new one because they we're told it...
Got started using this system 3 days ago. I dont tile often but when I do, I get it "100% right ! clients always happy and these are multi million pound properties .I have used "lash" systems before . Firstly the main difference is the "clip" strength .Then fitting and using the 'gun" I can get...
hi was wondering if anyone knew of a decent laser level that isn't to pricey. My dewalt one has recently packed in and don't want to be spending over £100 on one again.

I am installing 6x24" (152mm x 610mm) wood look porcelain tile in an approx 200 sq. ft. (6096mm) room. Rectified tile, remarkably flatter than some 'long' LFT's I've seen.
I had someone install 5/8" (15.875mm) plywood over the slatted subfloor. He told me the floor was pretty flat using a 7'...
I purchased this system to use on large tiles for floors and walls.
When I bought the system I thought the bases would be flat but they are if fact quite curved which raises the tile some distance away from the bed (6mm) before tightening the red top.
There doesn't seem to be a flat base version...
