I am looking for someone to re-tile a kitchen splashback.
There are three vertical corner edges for which I would like the tiles to be mitred rather than having tile trim.
Therefore ability to mitre metro tiles is a must.
Looking to start asap

Hi
I am having the kitchen splashback re-tiled and there are a couple of corners. I really don't like tile trim and so we want the tiles mitred.
We plan to use metro tiles (flat rather than bevelled) but wanted to check these can be mitred. Our tiler said the tiles should be at least 8mm thick...
hello I'm a new member and wondering if anyone can give me advice whether mirrored metro brick tiles are suitable for kitchen splashback and behind the hob? Would the glass crack or the grouting come off due to heat? Or the silver of the glass becomes distressed? The thickness of the glass...

Metro tiles - wax packing
over the last year the black/white metros i get from everywhere have become rubbish quality. still cut nice but fell more like an old 4" crystals really thin.
The packing wax has got thicker and harder to remove. Whats the quickest / most effective way to get it off people...
Hello,
This is the first time of posting and hope that someone can give me some advice or posing me in the right direction.
I've tiled successfully in the past and, in my opinion, done a decent job, but now face fitting bevelled tiles.
My question relates to the height of the tile trim around...
This is a kitchen splashback that Gary did with me in Hoxton East London.
2400 X 800 x 6mm porcelain from the casadolcecasa magnum range, Calacatta.
No joints except for the corners, definitely something that could catch on I believe.
Called in to check on the progress of a bathroom job this afternoon, never taking much notice of the tiles until I was about to leave..........
......Homebase metro tiles........19 boxes...
13 different dates of manufacture!.....2 different years!.......nothing new then!
Morning all,
Just wanted peoples thoughts on finishing metro tiles, specifically in the corners? Even with nice cutting you still get a diamond effect in the corners that in some cases depending on the depth difference of the metro edge can look a bit off. Do you guys scribe in to minimise this...
...bit of a who dunnit but feel I've been shafted royal style on this one.
Working for a joiner (so called) who's customer had asked him if he could get me in to tile a newly fitted kitchen and stripped out bathroom.
Me to supply tiles, adhesive etc.
Didn't want anything fancy, infact didn't...
Hi
Does anyone on here have experience of fitting these type of tiles. I'm quoting for a job for October time which involves these tiles. Its a bathroom that's going to be tiled half height. tiles will be below window and bath is freestanding so they will not really be in the wet area. I'm...
Good afternoon!
Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.
I'm about to start tiling in between my worktops and wall cabinets in the kitchen. The problem is the walls are all over the place!
My thinking was to true the walls with plasterboard and tile over that, would this...

Hi all,
I am currently tiling my bathroom in 200 x 100 white metro tiles. I have a sloped area to do approximately 45 degrees. The wall had tiles on previously that have been removed leaving the plaster in a reasonable condition. Can anyone advise if I am ok to reapply the new tiles without any...
Just looked at a splashback job and the customer wants white 200 x 100 flat, not bevelled.
Problem is (as I can see) is the measurement between the worktop and the horizontal angle bead on the window cill is 215mm, which will become about 225+ after the cill is tiled - she doesn't really want a...
