So it appears the trusted advisor tag going missing has annoyed a lot of people. And no DIY or tiler is getting their threads replied to.
If we had the tag but not the forum, which created the cliquey weird thing I got rid of and isn't good for any forum.
Would some of you come back post here...

Having had an issue with water ingress I have been trying to regrout my shower cubicle.
I approached the original tile supplier who gave me Larsen Colourfast 360 grout (cement base) as he said that’s “likely” to be what was used.
I allowed the cubicle to dry for several weeks and removed the...

On the kitchen they shall be laid across the length of the floor but unsure whether I should lay them across the length or width inside the living room

Hi everyone,
Im after advice tilling my kitchen walls behind hob, sink and under wall cabinets. I have two questions if you would be so kind to help.

Hi All,
I've not been doing this for too long, so still a little unsure in a lot of things! Was on Ana architect lead job last week into this coming week and would appreciate your opinions on the setting out of this shower former.
One option is mine, one is the architects, so which is best...
Hi all, not posted for a while
I’ve been going over threads for setting out getting ideas.
but i want to know, what tips you guys have on setting out and any tools you use?
i personally use a tile tracker and find its a massive help for starting off.
i know some tilers start from the bath...
I'm after a 125mm variable speed grinder. I was going to go for the £150 Metabo at the bottom of the list, because I think the 2000rpm lowest speed would be more useful polishing at least, but it only goes to 7600rpm max. Does that mean a poor cut? Am I better sacrificing the lowest speed...
I was with for a tiler for the last 3 years but I’m working for myself now. Im not sure what I should be charging? For my first few jobs I charged €20/sq m but I think this is too low. I don’t want to charge too much but not sell myself short either.
and also should I be charging different...

Huzzah, after far too many weeks the end is insight for our DiY kitchen fit. This weekend I'm tackling the tilng, it's been 12 years since we did the kitchen in our old house so I've forgotten about all the...
Hi
After a bit of advice from the pro's on how to layout new shower tiling project?
We have 500x200 ceramic tiles. My thought was to have a full tile centred plus 2 x 445 cuts (2mm grout lines) either side on the front wall (1395) running vertically (not brick pattern).
Each side wall is...
El Camino comes out next Friday on Netflix, which follows Jesse from straight after the last episode of Breaking Bad.
Huge breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fan and have noticed as I have been checking threads that some of you are too.
Who's excited for the film? Meeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Thought I was going to end up buying one then because I couldn't make an appointment for this week. But they sent it to me instead! Get in! Gwan @FIXRADIO
Hello people. Been up to the eyes with life, but finally managed to progress my (now 6m long!) wetroom project.
All tanked ready to go, but wondering which way you pro’s would set out this tray. 315 square tiles, and with one sitting dead centre on the tray, hard against the front edge of the...
Hi,

Customer really wants to use a particular 600x300x9 porcelain tile he has picked out in a brick bond pattern.
The back wall of the shower cubicle is awkwardly a little over 600 wide. It's also on the wonk in a proper pyramid shape, but all...

So I have a bathroom to do in 100 x 200 metros. Lucky me. Taps are on long side of bath next to wall. Taps are and bath are centred to wall. I generally like to use the taps as the centre. Tiles are to be fitted brick bond. Using the taps as centre means that I end up with a 25mm cut in reach...
How best would you mark out out the tile for cutting in this situation where the recess is narrower than a whole tile?
Same for the wall that comes off the recess to the right.
Normally i overlay the tile to be cut on top of the second from last tile(which would be arranged in its correct...
This might not work on all devices. So the fallback is the smilie face / emoji icon in the text styling bar, as usual.
But you should find that on most devices, you can now use your phone keypad smilies in posts!
Can you confirm you can see these, and then test a reply for me please...
