What sealant do you guys use with stone? Need to seal a cast resin tray against ceramic on one wall and stone mosaic on another.
I generally use 785 everywhere but not sure if this will be ok with a stone product.
Ta muchly!
Hello all,
I had my bathroom done about 6 months ago and so far everything is holding up well...no mould, the tiles are still on the walls etc!
The only thing I've notice is a very very narrow gap appearing between the sealant around the bath and my wall tiles. It's probably not much more than...

Does anyone know of a grout sealer that gives a wet look finish as the colour on the grout both on the wall and floor doesnt look right and patchy but when its wet the colour is good - i have tried cleaning with Lithofin residue remover which also acts as an efflorescence remover I beleive, the...
Trying to figure out how to fix a leak problem which seems to stem from a badly tiled shower wall (dabs of adhesive not complete coverage), would it help to rake out the grout and replace with heavy dose of silicon sealant? Obvioulsy the sealant is much softer than grout but I can't think of a...

I am making some coasters for friends and have some ceramic tiles with my art on it, using modgepodge coats and then polyurethane coating. They look great (see attached). I let sit for 2 days. Sadly, a hot cup of coffee leaves a slight ring. Any ideas on a reasonably priced heat resistant...

Hi, I am new to this and really need someone's help.
I have just had my bathroom wetroomed and used 60x60 travertine tiles on the floor. My builder has tanked the area and a drain is also in but we have now developed a leak through our bedroom selling from the room. My builder says that the...

Last year I tiled a bathroom with marble tiles. The client wanted a marble bath top. The suppliers took my template and returned with 4 strips. I siliconed them to the top of the bath and then sealed them with the water based sealant that the customer supplied (I did express concerns about...
Hi, first post here, have been browsing and found some useful info, but nothing exactly answering my question...
We had a slate floor put down - riven uncalibrated grey slate. The tiler did an OK job, a few lips of a couple of mm but nothing too bad. What he did do, however, despite my...
I've got sealant on my bathroom floor thanks to a plumber putting my bath panel on upside down & as it wouldn't lie straight he decided to seal it to the floor! I've removed most of the sealant but I still have a glue like residue on the flooring! What can I use to get rid of it please?
Oh & I...

Hi all
About a year ago, I had a bathroom tiled with natural slate. This was sealed with slate shine (I believe this is recommended on other threads) and the tiler at the time put one coat. At the time he said no more coats were needed. Over the year the tiles lost their mojo, and we felt that...
My husband sealed our porcelain tiles with HG porcelain tile sealer, but didn't buff off the excess as per directions. They now have this layer on them, which dirt sticks to like glue! It's hideous trying to clean them. Any ideas what will get it off?!
Thanks
Got a mates floor to do this weekend and he has recently had a new 3sqm concrete base laid in his utility room (that needs tiling), its VERY sandy so I want to seal it, can anyone recommend a sealant/impregnator ?
We want to use a small number of floor tiles as a splash-back behind a cooker in the kitchen. Do we need to use a special type of sealany for this job? if so, which?

Recently treated a new indian sandstone patio with Lithofin Stainstop MN - seems like a great product but in places i've clearly failed to remove all the excess product resulting in some watermarks... (wife's not impressed).
Secondly, even if i had applied 100% evenly the water repellency is...
