Does anybody have one of these lasers...?
I am thinking of getting one for a big job i have coming up for ease of datums etc..
My question is... I notice there is no pendelum lock on it... so have you had any calibration issues etc..?

Just thought I would provide a thread giving start to finish guidance for installing Hardie Backerboard. On this job I also needed to end up with a perfectly level floor as the customer and I decided on showing a full wall tile up from the floor. The wayrock flooring has wet underfloor heating...
I want to tile a large window sill, about 450mm deep and 7m long. Previously it was covered with veneered chipboard but after 25 years the sun plus moisture from watering plants and condensation from the windows above did for it.
The wall underneath is uneven brick with some wood inserts...

Hi, should you mix up slc a bag at a time, I recon i will need 3 bags, which is a lot to mix, unless i borrow a concrete mixer, hehe!!!:lol:
do you mix a bag spread it out and start again at another place.
any advice gratefully received.
Juat been and bought a load of self levelling compound and it says on the bag do not mix any more than you can use in 15 minutes. I have never used self levelling before - often no need on anhydrite.
It is going on sand cement screed and it will be primed with acryilic spray on primer...
I am about to have a go at doing one in my utillity room
I have got a brand new screeded floor 3M x 3M
I have channelled in the flexible conduit for the sensor
I am going to hot glue the mat down
would you recomend mixing the self leveling in one go (25kg bag)
or in 2 or 3 or 4 mixes the bag...
Hi, wonder if you can help me out here? I am going to tile a shower room floor with 300mm ceramic tiles. The existing tiles have come up okay and most of the previous adhesive, but the concrete floor is now a little uneven. I have been advised that maybe a self-levelling compound would be good...

Hello,
has anyone heard of this stuff and does anyone have any advice with regards to tiling onto it.
It is a 2 part floor laying latex solution, you mix the grey powder and milk like liquid together then you just tip it on the floor and spread evenly and it more or less finds its own level...

due to having a friend who worked for a flooring company ie screeds levelling etc, i have always been able to sub any floors that needed levelling out to him (materials borrowed... and one days labour...

I have a cement floor with a ceramic tile on it which is non porus. I'm putting a levelling compound on which is ball stop gaps general purpose smoothing underlay fast setting formula (green bag). I should apparently be using milk 114 latex for non porus flooring however I've been supplied...

Before i self level bathroom floor just wanted to ask a few last minute questions...is it ok to split areas up, do i have to wait for each section to dry before doing the next...lowest pint is at doorway to bathroom? was going to divide the room into 3 sections...can i use sand as a barrier...

Well i replaced all the dodgy boards...overboarded with 12mm ply and had to use 6 tubes of no nails to make up the difference under some of the ply...what am i left with? A rock solid floor but unfortunately its to unlevel to tile in one direction...so tmw i have to self level...i'm going to use...

How can i remove addy/self levelling from a weyrock floor. Have tried all day to scrape off using a heavy duty floor scraper to no avail. Would a chisel action drill work, or would it cause too much damage. I will be boarding over the weyrock so damage shouldn't cause me too many...
