Hello
I'll be laying some ceramic floor tiles on top of self levelling compound, I've got some Mapei Primer G but I'm not sure if I should dilute it.
Instructions say:
Before tiling on gypsum it says to apply neat, ( does this apply on top of self levelling?)
Also says do NOT apply in such...

Hi all. I know there are a few bits of advice on the forums but my question is fairly specific. We are self levelling a 23sq m. concrete floor across 3 rooms in a domestic property. I reckon we will need an average fill of 6mm across the floor or there abouts. To my mind that is 1.38m3 of...

I think I need to use a slc as my kitchen floor runs out from halfway across the room to one side of about 5mm ish,
I have looked at the wickes latex one at about £18 a bag, easy flow is the most important as I havn't used this stuff before, btw its about 4sq mtrs to level up, not the...
Hi All
I have an issue which I would like to hear your thoughts on.
I have had a floor fail on me, and need to get to the bottom of what has happened.
The floor is timber, screwed to joists and checked for deflection.
Then overlaid with 10mm backer board, screwed to floor. No primer.

Hi all,
I have moved to a rental property and one of the bathrooms has a tub and a hand held shower but no tiles on the walls.
I wish to use this as a proper shower. I was wondering if one can get removable self adhesive bathroom tiles which would hold the weight of the shower and I can restore...

Hi,
I am looking to lay vinyl flooring in my Kitchen/diner but first would have to take up the floor tiles in kitchen and laminate in dining area. I would then probably use a self levelling compound to get nice and smooth/level for the vinyl.
I then thought to myself why not save the hassle...

Hi everyone,

Need to level out a screed substrate (about 35mm of it) wondering if there is a good, recommended self levelling compound you would suggest? (for laying Travertine tiles)

I am a stone fitter and tiler with nearly 8 yrs experience. I feel it is now time to go it alone. Can anyone advise me on whether it is necessary to have a formal qualification or would I be wasting my money. I already have my CSCS card from my current employer. Many thanks
Does anyone know of a frost proof self level compound, it is going outside on a concrete floor. The thickness needed varies from 3mm to 15mm. I have looked at as many as i can but can't find one that's frost proof.
im confident I can start taking work on and was want to start thinking about the business side of things now as I want to go the rite route and be a respectable tradesman... where do I start? how did you guys learn about self assessment and tax and all the rest of it? cheers
I have posted this type of slc method before, just thought I would repeat it if I have got the pics right, dots set by laser runners made from 3-1 compo plus polymer and rapid set adhesive.
