Hi there,
I posted a while ago prior to carrying out prep work for tiling a new bathroom with Travertine. I followed the recommendation and adhered backerboard over the plastered walls using weber SPF rapid and mechanical fixings but would like some further advice on the floor.

I've got about 5 bags of this that has been dry stored for a few months. It was given to me to get me over a problem of weber's creation - long story. I didn't need as much as I thought I did to sort the mess out, and no one (weber or retailer) wanted them back.
They're here in Cornwall if...

I have been researching the best way to prepare an old screed floor of 45m2 with no dpm, ready to take uniclic bamboo flooring. As there is a lot of knowledge about SLC on here thought i would ask.

I know there is some downsides to being self employed but I would never want to go back to being employed normally.
I hardly ever turn down any jobs and will always try and fit them in cause I'll take time off on the days I get finished early or have gaps in work.
You can usually have a bit of...
I have an old very uneven concrete base which I need to self level then tile. The Everyread self leveling compound says that I should use PVA for bonding. I've seen others comment that you don't need to prime first. Can somebody please give me a definitive answer?
Thanks for reading.
As any tiler will know you cant just advertise to yourself. You gotta get out there and
ground pound the streets looking for work.
Its the same with us. We cant just sit in the office all day drinking coffee.
We have to promote PORSADRILL to retailers etc.
So when the Vistaprint offer of...

Howdy all.
Wonder if you can help with a question about sealing a DIY SLC job before tiling it.
A professional recommended using a self levelling compound on an old concrete kitchen floor but let us down due to being too busy to do the job.
A 2nd "professional" tried to put down a SLC but...
