I actually spoke to him last week in tile giant & told me he still used PVA.
He can tile as well but as the thread says too stuck in his ways.
Normally use rapid set flexible adhesive for walls and floors, but getting a bit sick of working fast.
Whats the standard set of choice for walls ? Flexy white. At a reasonable price. And available at ctd.
I need to fill in some voids between screed and a ply deck shower tray.

iam really tight on time .

Can I soak it or does it have to be sanded or ground off?

I have a question. My tile guy set his shower membrane in the weep drain, then the rock board over the membrane. All seems well. One thing he did do that I question is that he fastened the rockboard through the membrane, slightly below the top of the mortar bed but well above (2 inches)...

Is anyone using rapid set at the moment, i was in my supplier earlier and they have just had 30mtrs of porcelain gone out, going in a conservatory and the guy insisted on rapid, he must be a superman. The pot life must only be about 5 mins i would have thought:yikes:

Going in tomorrow to start and the customer prefers the set out where in the kitchen(large glass doors) there is a full tile to the left of the wall when the grout line is centered on the glass doors but it leaves a 70mm slither down the right...
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone uses a slow set SPF when tiling walls & floors? I tend to use rapid set on everything but I find that sometimes it sets to early in the bucket that I mix up and I end up wasting a lot.
All up and working know.
Cheers Dan.
Thoughts on the set out for the glass room.
The tiles have been centred on a 20ft glass front entrance which then then runs through the hallway.
Any thoughts on wether to centre on the vertical post in the glass room or run the grout lines through from...
