does anyone know of any? I can’t find any to buy, except this kit which isn’t good value but looks like a good kit for sealing upto fitted trays.

Hi all,
Took down some old tiles in my bathroom and plasterer came round to plaster the walls with gypsum thistle bond plaster, was going to plaster myself but it would have been the first time so i thought i'd watch someone instead - i know this plaster is not good when it comes to water (from...

Hi all, apologies if I have not put this is the correct place.
I am currently in the process of renovating my bathroom with new suite and 10mm ceramic tiles floor to top.
I have striped off my old tiles and I have been left with plasterboard in very poor condition where all the paper has been...
Just pricing up my own ensuite. The quote includes a 'tile safe' tanking kit - £300 and flexi wall membrane 8kg - £60
I don't mind the cost if it's worth it, but just want to check with those in the know if this stuff is good & worth the £360? Are there any brands you would recommend? Or am I...
What do you guys think of this?
INSTALLATION GUIDE: Impey WaterGuard - https://phpionline.co.uk/installation-guides/installation-guide-impey-waterguard/
When tanking a marine ply floor with a paint-on tanking product, should these type of waterproof pipe collars be used, or is the tanking enough? If used, would they go on before or after tanking product is applied?
Pipes would be going through the floor from bath, basin, radiator, toilet supply...
I had a bathroom installer around and he said that even if putting up Schluter Kerdi-Board on the walls, as it's not much more expensive to additionally tank it with a paint-on tanking product he would do that.
I was wondering if there's any drawbacks to this? Perhaps Schluter Kerdi-Board...
Is it correct that paint-on tanking products for a floor require more than one coat, with subsequent drying time between coats?
If that's the case, would I be correct in thinking that a waterproof matting product adhered to the floor timber before tiling is quicker to put in place?
Thanks.
Can I tile straight onto sand and cement render (with an spr coat) in a shower area? Or does it need tanking?
Am i correct in thinking its better without a finish coat?
Thanks

have done plenty of UFH electric mats under tiles, & plenty wetrooms with tanking.
However, I have never incorporated both..
Is tanking done under or over electric mat?
Is it ok to bring UFH mat onto shower former?
Cheers!

Above is a job I went too a month ago. The contractor said we’ve tanked the walls for you! I told him I wouldn’t tile the slope as it was and with 900x300mm tiles. Why he asked!
I used my thumbnail to pick a bit off then proceeded to peel it like an orange - that’s why!
So my question.
If the...

I was just wondering which of the many options you would use when putting up new board on the wall which runs the length of a bath with an overhead shower above the bath?
That is, a wall currently with nothing attached to the stud.
Options appear to be putting up ordinary plasterboard, or...

Been seeing a few tilers posting wetrooms on twitter with no wall tanking. I've always tanked anything deemed to be a wet area, whether wall or floor, in a wetroom and wondering where the rest of you stand.
Twitter is a bit back slappy imo, with nobody telling anybody they're doing it wrong...
Hi lads,
It's me again, and seeking for an advise regarding a new project I am going to start soon.
My customer will have a freestanding bathtub and wetroom. However, for the wetroom I would like to know what is the best way to tank. Do you guys would recommend using the wedi, jackoboards on...

I want to add a shower to a bath but the room only has wallpapered plasterboard, not sure what type.
Can I tank onto it, or strip the wallpaper first?
Thanks

Hi all, I'm going to be fitting a new shower. I've read plenty of advice on kerdi vs liquid membrane etc etc, but one question I don't see being asked is how much of the wall should you do - lets say my bathroom is 3m by 3m and I'm putting in a 900mm Quadrant. How much of the two walls that...
I am trying to get rid of the old tanking so I can proper waterproof the walls. Brick wall and studs (Marine Ply) see pict. Any input appreciated.

Hello guys, quoting a "Bathroom", 20 square metre floor, partly set falls for linear waste and shower area, to contain self contained sauna and seperate hot tub, and 30 metre walls.
Needs electric undertile heating, tanked for wetroom, and the screed is not yet laid, but will be using quick...

i have recently had my whole bathroom stripped back to bare walls and then had it fitted out with wetboards (recommended by plasterer), the guys at tile choice gave me some acrylic bonding & priming liquid to help with the...
