Hi Guys, I'm fitting some large tiles. The wall tiles are 33cm x 100cm. Am I right in thinking a 6mm square notched trowel will be ok for these? The floor tiles are 44cm x 66cm (porcelain) and I was thinking 10mm round notched trowel. Also, wasn't sure whether to go with butech adhesive or...

My new Marshaltown 6mm trowel has gone all rusty and I've only had it a few weeks, I have a Marshaltown plastering trowel which is 5 years old and as clean as a whistle.

Saw these trowels on the trade tiler site and as i am a leftey am gonna buy some to try out:smilewinkgrin:
Any left-handers on this forum using leftey trowels?
I manage with standard trowels but would be interesting to know other peoples opinions?
I might need one of these on my next job. ive never used one before so dont know what size bed and roughly what m2 to expect from a 20kg bag of adhesive?
Quite like the idea of these towels but have never used them or know anyone who has used them. Only worry I have is there square notches so can't be used in wet areas or on floors as they will not give 100% coverage.
What's your thoughts are they any good or recommended?
I have always used a 6mm notch trowel for wall tiling up to now, and I read in another thread a 8mm trowel is to be used for good bathroom Walls and 10mm for bad.
I have a bath/shower room to do in 150 by150 tiles and the walls are reasonable but not spot on. Which trowel do I use? (sorry if...
