hi guys I have just fitted a akw tuff form tray and Mapei tanking system to my upstairs bathroom and I am looking for some advice on the fall lines I had a tiler tell me that he would ignore the fall lines on the tray and take his fall cuts from the corner of waste to corner of wall as I looks...
I'm changing a shower cubicle and the old one had been bedded to the tray with adhesive. I've scraped a lot off but it's still not smooth enough. Obviously I can't use anything acid based to clean it up so is it a case of sand and polish after?

I will be tiling a small ensuite floor next week and installing a shower tray. Would it be ok to tile the full floor and leave a large hole for the trap then prime the tiles for installing the tray over tiles.
I've only ever installed the trays to the screeded floors then tile to them but...
Hi guys, I had a hairline crack in my shower tray and decided to brave it by removing it myself. I’ve taken the doors off, and the bottom row of tiles. A lot of the plasterboard came off which is worrying, most of it’s still attached to the original tiles. Can I put them back in place somehow or...

Hello.
We are currently in the process of renewing our ensuite.
I have been trying to get to grips with the different types of shower trays and their methods of installation.
The shower tray that was removed; I believe was an acrylic tray. It was very light and was raised off the floor through...

As above, can or should you put UFH in a shower tray.
The plumber that I am working for has a customer who wants to run the UFH from the rest of the bathroom floor into the shower tray(and tile on top)
I have done one before, many moons ago. But it still leaves me a little nervous, regarding the...

Hi,
I have a screeded concrete floor in my bathroom and instead of a conventional shower tray I want to have a wet room style linear drain floor. The area I am using is a corner and I have found linear former trays but they all require an envelope style tiling system. Would be possible to just...

Hi all,
I'd love some advice please. I'm re-sealing a shower tray that has a little bit of flex in it. The flex is minimal, but the old seal I did previously wasn't done perfectly and if a heavier person has a shower then the joint between the shower tray and bottom tiles would let a few drips...
Can someone help please - in desperate need of some advice. Got my wet room tiled and have been left with what they've told me is an envelope cut but when I googled envelope cut, they are all symmetrical and look aesthetically pleasing compared to mine in my opinion. Does this look like a shoddy...
Hi,
I am doing an en-suite at the moment and will need to install the shower tray which comes with a riser kit. Now normally these things are much like bath feet and have holes in to screw them into the base of the shower tray (or wooden support)and screw the bottom of the feet to the floor...
Hi,
Had a stone resin shower tray down about a Month now. The finish on it seems dulled it was shiny. Whats the best way to clean and keep shiny?
Tried proprietary mousse cleaners and non scratch shop brought solutions with little success.
Any professional products I can buy?
Many Thanks
John.
Hi. I've bought the Impey formed tray. Looking at tanking kits, the Impey one (roll out membrane) would cost me about £450 while an alternative liquid kit, by Everbuild Aquaseal will cost me under £100. (15 sqm).
Do I just treat the formed tray like any other floor when applying the liquid...
In need to drill 2x 6mm holes in to accommodate plastic rawl plug and screws which will hold metal blocks to support frame-less glass shower panels. I'm thinking of using a wax cored diamond bit - is that the safest way to go ?

Good day all,
Just looking for a bit of advice really. I have a wet shower tray to tile.. The tiles to the outside it are 12mm porcelain, the mosaics going on the wet tray are 8mm. Does anyone know of any simple way to bring the mosaics flush with the porcelain tile that wont mess with the...
I got a professional top tile my wetroom because I was scared of making a mistake.
After he left it occurred to me that he never fit the frame for the drain cover.
The shower tray has a linear drain with a stainless frame that should have been screwed in place and tiled up to. Now some...
Hi, in order to 'Square-up' a 900mm x 900mm Coram Shower tray which is out by 8-10mm gap from being flush. Is it safe to chase a recess into the Aquapanel to level things out and ensure tiles can be laid nice and straight, down over the upstands....?
Does any special attention need to be paid...
I intend to tank plasterboard with mapei mapgum (or similar) and tape the joints as shown in this video below. It also shows the tape being bonded to the tray surface then tiled afterwards. Taking into account the thickness of tile and adhesive (which should obscure the joint) there would be...

as the title suggests. I gave 5 wet room trays to do. 3 are 1700 x 800mm and 2 are 2m x 1.8m!
They are all on the first floor and are on solid ( block and beam ) floor. The sections for the trays has been formed and the rooms are screeded. The gaps for the trays are unscreeded with 50mm...
