Hi,
I've posted this on the plumbers forum but it seems that I should really have posted here first...
I'm fitting a shower in an en suite and the gap for the shower tray is about 1060mm whereas the tray is 1000mm.
Further info about the room:
The entire room is already aqua boarded and the...
Hi There, I recently tiled a wet room for someone, after only 2 weeks of use i was called back to investigate a leak. it appears that the pre formed tray is flexing and when you stand on it a 1mm to 2mm gap opens along the back wall. Are these trays supposed to flex like this? or is the tray not...

I'm doing a wet room, where the edge of the tray is only 260mm from the door. I said its to close to the door not to have a shower screen, I have even tried too source one for the customer. Now the job as started, they tell me, there wont be a screen, but want a gaurantee that the water wont go...
We're about to start work on a new wetroom installation on a ground concrete floor. The shower area is to be triangular with two of the sides 'kicking back' a tad (see attached sketch). As such shaped shower formers/trays do not exist, we're going to have to create the fall to the corner drain...

Afternoon all,
As I have been let down on a 2 week job the lovely wife suggested I get on and refit the ensuite, a job that was in the pipeline that I had managed to put off.
All has been stripped back to plaster on 3 walls and plasterboard replaced with Hardie.
This ensuite is in an extension...

Wetroom offer - I happen to have a wetroom tray (tile on type) redundant in my garage. It is damaged on the corner, however, it's 1850mm long. These trays are designed to be cutdown to suit your space. By cutting the damage off this tray would still do a shower size of upto 1700 x 900.
Anyone...
Showerlux versus 'JT40?
I've recently had three Showerlux LPS (stone resin) 900mm quadrant trays delivered in succession as replacements, due to faulty mouldings and poor workmanship. My supplier is as his wits end but is graciously doing everything to help; he's now advising we forget...
Hi, Over the main bathroom floor im using 18mm WBP over joists with added noggins. On top of that will be 10mm Marmox board on a 2mm addy bed. Total 30mm.
The shower tray is a AKW tuff form tray (22mm). I wasnt going to put UFH over this tray just over the rest of the floor but looking at the...
Ok ive gone with the tuff form for the wet room and was wondering what's the best thing to stick it onto floor with
Im wondering if it's best to stick it straight into the wet screed of onto the dried screed with something like gripfill
thanks Simon
Does anyone know where I can get one of these trays from if at all possible. It will need to go on first floor over beams. Went to have a look at the job this morning and it appears that the plumbers had tried to form their own tray using 6mm ply and adhesive but it's failed miserably.
Hi guys
very quick and probably simple question, can the shower tray be cemented onto a HB250 or does it have to be straight to ply. Doesn't make much difference for me either way, just that I have enough HB to to allow it.
On that note how does the cement effect the ply - would it...
Hi All
Is anyone aware of a 3 way fall floor former so all the water gathers in the centre at one edge of a tray? So I can get a premade sloping floor to use a Geberit Shower Elements Wall Drain??
I don't know if I'm making myself clear but a bit like a wedgie board by Marmox but one which has...
Hi all, hope this is in the right forum!
I recently re built our bathroom from top to bottom, including replacing 8 floor joists and removing and replacing the ceiling. I took quite a while to do it so that I could make sure that everything was as I wanted it so I was mortified to discover...
Hi Guys,
Was going to use the mapei shower waterproofing kit to tank shower cubicle- how do you seal up to the shower control, and how much of the strip to you allow to overlap onto the tray to seal along the edge?
Thanks,
Will
Hello everybody
I have a horizontal gap of about an inch along one side of the shower tray and the wall. The other two sides of the shower tray are tiled and siliconed onto the tray, the forth has the shower door. I've had a leak along the horizontal gap. This had been tiled, but the tiles...
Hi
Need to tank walls in shower cubicle with a shower tray, normally use Bal paste and sheets. Question is, what would you normally do when coming down the walls, do you normally lap it just over the tray edge ? enough to cover with tiles. If you just come down to the tray, what's to stop...
Gents,
Can you recommend the best profesional way to seal the shower tray against the wall or finish the tiles down on to the shower tray.
Also if using a stainless steel channel for glass to seal against a shower tray what type of sealent do you recommend .
I understand your not plumbers but...
I have refurbished my Matki shower enclosure. While tiling the walls the shower tray has got scoured and scratched. Is it possible to polish this with T-Cut to get it looking new again?
