Hi Everyone
We are about to re-tile the bathroom, I've tiled a few room but never used Limestone.

Can this be done as a DIY job or am I best sticking to a ceramic tile?
This is what I know.

Just read a letter today @PHG about a tiler( i use that loosely) who kinda bodged a job up .. his reasons were that the stone tiles were poor and that the wrong adhesive was supplied..
The stone was Applestone ( white limestone) and he said it was inferior because it was soft and chipped...

Has anyone done a Tiling Course at the DIY school in Stockport, Manchester? I am considering a 4 day Tiling Course to add to my current floor trade and to help me set up on my own as a Floorlayer & Tiler.
Thanks

I have a bathroom that is back to brick, the plan is to get all the walls dot and dab boarded using a moisture resistant board, then tank the bath / shower area using BAL kit. The tiles I have bought are 60cm x 30 cm porcelain.
I have never tiled a wall with tiles this size or weight before...

Hi!
I'm having a new extension built on my house. In fact, I've spent today putting in the CAT6 ethernet network (cables and conduit) and bashing through the old gable wall to join the two lofts. But that's another story.
My wife also ordered the 600x400mm porcelaine floor tiles (10mm thick)...
