I'm after a wetroom screen for mum's bathroom.
We wanted a tall wetroom screen, but didn't realise they'd be quite so costly.
£260 for hardened glass that measures 2250mm x 880mm x 10mm.
The coating which is supposed to help with cleaning and limescale is an extra £110.
So a total £370.
Is...

Hi,
I am going to build a small (7m2) wet room on the ground floor of a granite farmhouse. The rest of the ground floor is drained breathable limecrete.
In the wetroom at present there is compressed (structural) drainable Foam Glass insulation (Misapor). The insulating slab (lime/Misapor/sand)...
morning,
So I’m tiling the floor today in the wetroom (yup, still on this job!).
The tray I’m doing in 10mm porcelain mosaic (4mm addy bed), the remainder in 10mm porcelain 60x30 (12mm addy bed).
The mosaic will sit lower. I need to raise it by 4mm so there isn’t a step, how would I do that...

Hi, I'd like to fit in a shower screen 1850 x 900.
The new style of screen on the likes of Houzzz look ver minimialist without the long bracket going to a wall or ceiling to provide support. I'm wondering how they make it stable enough?
I've uploaded a picture with labels "A" and "B" on it...

Hi All
Just a quick hello and introduction. I have an approach to wetroom floors and walls that doesn’t require tanking or tiling. We make floors and shower trays in sections that can be joined seamlessly on site, to appear as 1 piece, and can be installed on plywood or concrete bases. The...
My most recent DIY project has been to convert my en-suite into a wetroom. Been at it for months and now at the finishing stage. Turned on the shower for the 1st time and I have pooling in the centre of the floor.
I have obviously misjudged how large a shower tray footprint I require.
I have...

Hi, my mum would love a wetroom, but finding it difficult to fugure out some of the practicalities.
In houzz etc. we see wetrooms with few tile cuts which look glorious. Somehow the tiles must be angled to allow the water to drain away. But I'm unsure of how to find these trays online?
Should...
hi all,
Newbie on the site but reading through your post has really helped.
A builder is installing an wet room in my new loft conversion. I wanted to know what’s the best system i.e tray and membrane or tray and roll on?
I know about the highly recommended Impey tray and kits but was...

Hi,
We've just had a wetroom put in and everything has gone really well and I'm happy apart from the tiling around the drain. I assume this isn't the finish/ standard that I should be getting? Or does it just need to be grouted/siliconed?
Hello guys, I'm looking for some advice regarding a Wetroom I'm planning, I'm out my depth with the amount of options available and just looking for some friendly guidance.
The house is pretty old and I'm going back to scratch to start the install. I've taken out the uneven floorboards and...

Hi all,
My wetroom is going to be refurbished after my impey tray failed after 10 years. Wetroom is 2m x 3m.
Existing Wetroom:
I have decided to remove the whole floor, but leave the walls where the sink and radiator is. However, the bottom row of tiles from these 2 walls will be...
Hi there
Currently doing the final prep for a wet room, should be ready in approx 6 weeks.

hi guys I have just fitted a akw tuff form tray and Mapei tanking system to my upstairs bathroom and I am looking for some advice on the fall lines I had a tiler tell me that he would ignore the fall lines on the tray and take his fall cuts from the corner of waste to corner of wall as I looks...
Hi all, I'm not much of a forum poster, and am also new here to this one.
Additionally, in pre-admission, I'm no professional tiler (although I've successfully performed various vast scale tiling jobs at home), just an avid DIYer.
My situation which lead me to post here revolves around me...
right this is going to sound dumb but could someone please clarify - when the wetroom glass says for example 975-1000mm / 25mm adjustment
Does this mean that the glass itself is 975mm and using the channel can be extended to 1m
Or
The glass itself is actually 1m but can be sunk deeper into...
Hi again
Last week several of you helped me out with advice for a wetroom floor. There were a few different methods, but in the end I decided to go with the following - it's possibly overkill, but I'd rather be safe than sorry (and I'm in the unusual position of not wanting the floor layers to...
Hi guys!
Right, so I'm starting this job next week (I'm the builder as you know!) so I need to run by you the method I was planning on.
So its a wetroom. 1m x 4m approx. tiled floor, tiled shower area. Pretty much all components (sink, toilet, etc) will all be 'floating' so a clean floor...
A wetroom renovation needs completing. Impey tray has failed. Needs ripping out and replacing with Wedi ligno tray. Tiles need removing on 2 walls boarding up with Wedi and tiling. Wetroom area to be sealed with Wedi.
2 sided glass enclosure to be fitted.
I am looking for a tiler who is...
Hi there
I'm a DIYer putting in an upstairs wetroom floor. I'm currently at the stage of floor joists, which I've beefed up with extra noggins so it's good and solid.
Does the following list of layers make sense? Is it overkill (or underkill!)? All comments very much appreciated!
1. 18mm...
