Hi...
I'm so confused!
I need to choose some tiles for an en suite - the same for the walls and floor. The walk-in shower will be at one end with a partial glass screen but no divide on the floor or tray so (I've been told) it's a wetroom.
There's lots of advice I've been given but don't know...
Hi
Can anyone please give me some advice on the best method/tile cutter to use when tiling an embedded shower tray (1500x800mm) with s/s centre drain. The tiles I want to use are 750x750mm porcelain. I realise using this method will create many large diagonal cuts to the drain from the outer...

Guys I have a customer who wants to do polished concrete floors throughout his new build including two wetroom shower areas, I'm having trouble getting any info on the right way to help him achieve this. Wants linear drains, but the problem seems to be finding out how to achieve any...
I got a professional top tile my wetroom because I was scared of making a mistake.
After he left it occurred to me that he never fit the frame for the drain cover.
The shower tray has a linear drain with a stainless frame that should have been screwed in place and tiled up to. Now some...
Hi All,
I run a company specialising in marble manufacturing and installation. A friend in Peterborough is having problems finding a tiler with a good reputation (busy) who can renew the master bathroom tiles in his sons house. Ideally you will know an equally good local plumber too as the...
Hi all, starting a wet room floor soon, have a few questions I would like some help with!
The floor has already been installed by a builder and has Hardi backer boards down, running up to the tray, but will need levelling before reaching it.
1. Hardi backer is not waterproof, so how does self...

Just re-doing one of bathrooms in my own house and just wanted to pick your brains for a moment.
I've ripped all old floor boards up and installed 25mm plywood screwed every 100mm with 70mm screws....solid...

Afternoon all,
I’m a fairly experienced DIYer just about to embark on a wet room for the first time and am a little bewildered by the array of products for creating a waterproof room.
My plan so far is to fit a Wedi floor-level shower element (Fundo Ligno BuyWedi - http://tinyurl.com/jnfs3d2)...

I will be doing full bathroom renovation, and the plan is to build a walk in shower due to the layout of the bathroom to give more open space and I don't want any nasty plastic stuff in my home so want to build something nice from scratch.
I have changed few toilets/sinks in past where I have...

ok...so I have at last made a start and am currently planning the frame and base for the new wet room. I could do with a little advice though. All of the info I have read say plywood for the base. I have loads of 22mm OSB in my shed so was thinking I might be able to use this.
No worries if not...
Evening all,

Situation is as follows:
A suspended floor with very little deflection if any.

Hi all,
Just wanted to get a feel for what types/make of grouts everyone is using on wetroom floors? I have a done a few wetrooms over the past couple of years and have used Bal micromax and weber without any issues as far as I am aware, however, I have one to do in a few weeks and was...
Hi all,
When installing a wet room (with toilet and sink) would it be ok to use 18mm OSB boards as a floor base on top of the joists?
The fake wall will be placed on top of the boards to conceal a toilet cistern for a wall-hung tolier, and put away the water pipes and shower valves. The aim is...
Hi all,
New here so please go easy on me :)
As part of some refurbishment works I'm doing, I'd like to install a couple of shower wet rooms on the first floor. At the moment, the floors and walls are all WBP ply. I'm also having a wet UFH system fitted using an overlay board of 10mm on top of...

Whats the best wetroom system on the market. I've looked at a few and the easiest seems to be the wedi system. Any other suggestions.
Also where's the best place to buy?
Hi all,
Just joined up to get some advice and make sure I've got it all right.
I'm now in the process of changing to a wetroom, just waiting for the plasterer to finish before I dig up the concrete floor to position the drains and fit a gully for the wet area of the room. I plan to then re...
