    Setting out for window

Evening, hope all is well. Im Looking for a bit of advice regarding setting out on the window wall. Which ever way I play around with it I seem to have a sliver either at the window or both ends. I've attached a photo of the wall and a diagram with the measurements. It would be nice to know...

    tiling around window

Hi All, I am not a pro tiler but have always wondered about the correct way to tile around a window. So far I have managed to do this without making a mess of how the window looks so I guess I should continue but I would like to know how the professionals would tackle it. Any advise would be...

Unhappy with finish of beveled metro tiles and tile trim around window - are we being unreasonable?

Our kitchen fitter has done a lovely job overall but we are disappointed with the finish around the windows which we feel lets the other good work down. I have attached pics and we have contacted him to say that we aren’t happy with the finish around the windows with the wedge of grout along...

    Tiling around window

Hi. After ripping old tiles off, I noticed that the bottom sill and side panels where padded out with MDF or some other wood. They had done this I assume to get tiles to fit correctly against the window frame. My question is what should i use to fill out the space before tiling around the...

Bevelled Metro Tiles..... Trims, edges and window reveals.

Hello, This is the first time of posting and hope that someone can give me some advice or posing me in the right direction. I've tiled successfully in the past and, in my opinion, done a decent job, but now face fitting bevelled tiles. My question relates to the height of the tile trim around...

Anyone Got A Solution To This Problem?

whilst doing the sums for laying my tiles, i made a slight mistake. basically, one line of tiles that run beneath the lower face of the window bottom are approx 1mm too low. the metal window edging that i want to use kind of rocks like a seesaw on the render/metal beading beneath. all i can...

    Setting Out Offset Window

Only a slight issue. Not my first rodeo but the window is off set to the left 120mm. I'm using 600x300 tiles, the wall is 370mm one side and 490mm the other I would normally even out the tiles around the window as that is a focal point. However the window is on the wall tat faces you as you open...

Fitting Metal Edge Trim/tiles Around Window Recess

Is there a technique for doing this with metal edge trim? Eg, is it best to tile the whole face of the wall, with all of the 4 window sides cut straight and square, being raised proud by a set distance to allow for the trim/adhesive and inner tiles to meet up squarely when fitted later? If so...

How Do You Keep Yours Up?

There always the one or two tiles above the window, with nothing to hold them in place, slowly sliding, how do you hold yours up? Screws at an angle and sit them on there often works, or screw a bit of wood into the reveal? Not always possible if you have had to over hang to level it up.

    Window Cill Tiling Dilemma

Second-time DIY tiler with a wonky window sill, an IKEA sink and non-IKEA kitchen units. Can you offer advice please? Tiling window reveals

Hi Fellas. I've (nearly) finished tiling my en-suite walls now and want to start on the window reveals soon. Do you have any hints or tips for a nice looking finish? As recommended in a previous post of mine, I pulled the bottom tiles up above the window sill (by up to 10mm at its worst), and I...
