2008 new year

To stop buying tools just because I think it may make my life easier, My transit is getting full up:yes:

The plan for this coming year is to promote my tiling a whole lot more as I've hardly done any this year, and also do a plastering course and with a bit of luck be able to offer tiling and plastering.

Also I keep saying I could really do with a van, but parking is bad where I live, so Im not quite sure on that front... but for plastering, it's going to be difficult to do that using a hatchback and keeping it summit like normal.

On top of that, leaving my shift job and being self employed again is also the other goal I'd like this coming year.

Exactly the same position as you mate, and that is the same reason I don't have a van, no parking however I am moving house in Feb and my new house has drive and garage, woohooo!!! Also want to do a plastering course.

Might do quick plastering course, upgrade on a new wet & dry cutter plus hopefully get a van. Keep plugging away at getting the work cause things are going quite well at the moment:thumbsup:

as above, what you thinking in the way of a van Si?

Wouldn't get anything Kangoo sized mate or Astravan, both good but if I want a van its got to be something like a transit or Vito. My estate is about the same size as the others and I have trouble fitting all my tools in and being able to access them easily.Want to fit in 2.5 m trims and all boarding and ply,why limit yourself.

will need to wait and see how the pennies are but it wont be a new van for me,used van.Thinking of getting a SIGMA and a smaller cutter for splashbacks as my genesis is a bit big for a lot of domestic jobs.

I have a Genisis 600 like you Bri and its been great until I've doing a bathroom showroom, the other lads who helped out at the end had Rubi TS cutters and on the very hard porcelain their cutters broke them like a cheap 8p tile amazingly cleanly. Going to get a Rubi TS 70 plus and a small cutter for the same reason as you, maybe the smaller Geneisis as it'll have no problems. One of the lads had a Sigma and he was arguing that its much better than th Rubi, don't know about that but did seem good.
No point in getting a brand new van mate, like you I'll be getting one a few years old.
