kinda complicated, i'm in partnership at the painting with someone else, so would need to cease trading, sell everything etc.. divy up profits, pay tax, vat up to date etc......

might see if he wants to buy me out.

wanting away from the painting tbh, too many people doing thereselves and not being realistic about prices etc...

Only you can decide if tiling is what you are going to do.....we will help with your tech questions but the rest is up to you.....good luck mate...what ever you decide..

I do agree with you about the diy brigade but have seen the state of the paintwork, they have no idea whatsoever and you must have a good turnover if your vat registerered. Like DH says do the two together if your working in someones house and if they like your work albeit painting or tiling there'll always ask you if you can do carpentry or something else and your'll find there'll stick with you for most jobs:yes:

yeah not bad for just 3 guys working would love to able to bring in under 68k p.a and not pay the VAT, 3-4k every quarter kills us everytime, but i do factory floors which is a good payer but half goes on materials
