yes thats how much i'm paying, £26 for bal flexi rapid, does seem bit dear compared to other brands but guess it is good stuff....does anyone use webber? and is that good to use? I have used tile-it-all's own stuff, did a good job but just not as good to apply as bal but then again it was half the trade price!!!

hello j and welcome.

i've started using mapei and am paying £19 per bag for flexi...excellent stuff..Mark

Will be careful what I say here.
Certain brands from certain shops will always be higher in price than other equally as good adhesives from other shops.
Shop around & try a few different brands until you find one you are happy with for the price.
You will often find that if you went to 3 or 4 different suppliers who stocked the same brand of adhesive you would pay a different price at each shop.

I have always been paying 26 quid for a 20kg bag of Bal rapidset flex from Topps.
Am i paying well over the odds?

Thinking i might be going down the wrong path using the most expensive gear.
Charging around the 20 quid mark per sqm for ceramics inc adhesive, BAL adhesive is so expensive and was thinking of switching to something such as Dunlop.
Toppfix rapid flexi.20kg £15.99.....Gaz

gaz what do you think of the toppfix rapid flexi. used the white last week and it wasnt bad gear. lasted a while in the bucket as well.

I use Webber all the time. I pay approx 10.00 a bag for rapidset and 20.00 per bag rapidset single part flexi. For their tubbed adhesive, I pay 5.00 per tub for standard adhesive and 10.00 per tub for waterproof. I have used webber all the time and never had a problem with it yet. Prices above include VAT by the way so I find it helps keep the cost down for customers hence getting me more work!!

Whoops !!! I pay £11.69 plus Vat for a 20kg bag of Keraquick grey, flexi and a couple of quid more for white.
Pay £10.09 plus Vat for Mapeker which altough not flexi is suitable for Porcelain.
Mapei is good gear and my suppliers prices beat all the others locally hands down.

I sell absolutely shed loads of grey and white....the product is fabulous...only down side is it dosn't set as quick as bal,but its half the price....and like you say Wayne you have lots of playtime once mixed up,and it can be knocked up if you are a little slow...very little waste.........Gaz

i thought i had a good business relationship with the guys at my local topps, i think i'll have to renegotiate. i'm paying £26 for bal rapidset. of course it might be payback for using a tradepro card - it always manages to flummox them.
